In August, Kacsmaryk&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/08\/14\/texas-judge-restores-trumps-remain-in-mexico-policy-that-joe-biden-ended\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">directed<\/a>&nbsp;Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to restore the Migrant Protection Protocols or else detain all asylum-seeking migrants until their asylum claims have been decided. Agency officials decided to to revive the RIM policy instead of building detention centers for the migrants.<\/p>\n<p>But the federal law and Trump\u2019s RIM policy are&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/29\/dhs-mayorkas-tells-judge-to-re-cancel-remain-in-mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deeply opposed<\/a> by various border officials, including Mayorkas, the pro-migration DHS chief. It gives them political cover to reduce the poll-damaging flow of migrants into Americans\u2019 homeland, despite protests from their pro-migration allies.<\/p>\n<p>However, administration officials, including Mayorkas, will try to minimize the scale of the RIM program in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Officials are also negotiating with Mexico\u2019s government, which knows that uncontrolled migration is politically poisonous for President Joe Biden. Officials in both governments are conducting secret talks about the rewards that Mexico is demanding for allowing the RIM program. Those rewards likely include a renewed flow of Mexican workers into the jobs needed by Americans.<\/p>\n<p>Immigration advocates oppose the RIM policy because it sends migrants back to camps in Mexico until their scheduled days in U.S. asylum courts. This return policy wrecks the cartels\u2019 smuggling business because it prevents most of their clients \u2014 adult men, their families, and working youths \u2014 from using fake asylum claims to get legal entry and jobs in the United States.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>The cartels, however, can still make money by smuggling men and young women through the scrubland alongside the border.<\/p>\n<p>But many migration lawyers and progressives say that any migrant is entitled to ask for asylum and get a temporary job in Americans\u2019 national labor market, no matter how weak their plea for asylum is. For example, Mayorkas told a Senate panel in November that Americans cannot have a secure border unless migrants also get \u201cjustice\u201d in U.S. immigration court.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cJustice is our priority,\u201d Mayorkas&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=A-ZUvKzmn_I\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">declared<\/a>&nbsp;at a <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.judiciary.senate.gov\/meetings\/10\/20\/2021\/oversight-of-the-department-of-homeland-security\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">Senate hearing<\/a>, adding, \u201cThat includes securing our border and providing relief to those [migrants] who qualify for it under our laws.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas opposes the cartels. But he is seeking to replace their illegal smuggling with a variety of government programs that stealthily extract foreign workers and consumers from their home countries for use in the U.S. economy.<\/p>\n<p>For example, Mayorkas is helping&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/03\/26\/lindsey-graham-joe-biden-is-complicit-with-child-traffickers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">teenage economic migrants<\/a>&nbsp;walk into jobs via a side door created in a 2008 law for victimized children. He is helping older migrants&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/03\/26\/lindsey-graham-joe-biden-is-complicit-with-child-traffickers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stay<\/a>&nbsp;in the United States by letting them use the same 2008 law \u2014 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/06\/19\/u-s-has-imported-over-4000-minors-from-central-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">refugee rules<\/a> \u2014 to pull their left-behind children up into the United States.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Mayorkas is also using his&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/05\/06\/department-of-homeland-secuiritys-mayorkas-stages-open-borders-theater\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">parole power<\/a>&nbsp;to invite lawfully deported migrants to rejoin their left-behind migrant children who are applying for asylum. He is using the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/06\/14\/mayorkas-opens-visa-doorway-legalize-economic-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U Visa program<\/a>&nbsp;to provide work permits and Social Security numbers to migrants who say they were victimized by a crime in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>On June 16, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced new asylum rules that would offer citizenship to people who claim they are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/06\/16\/1007277888\/the-justice-department-overturns-rules-that-limited-asylum-for-survivors-of-viol\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">persecuted<\/a> by abuse from their spouse. Garland\u2019s deputies also revived the claim that judges can use \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abajournal.com\/news\/article\/garland-restores-discretion-to-immigration-judges-in-administrative-closure-decision\">administrative closure<\/a>\u201d to shut down deportation cases, so allowing illegal migrants to stay legally.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, Mayorkas and his deputies have allowed roughly 1.8 million migrants into the United States. This huge population is roughly one migrant for every two American births, and it includes visa workers, legal immigrants, asylum seekers, refugees, paroled Afghans, and illegal migrants.<\/p>\n<p>In the United States, migration curbs Americans\u2019&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/07\/11\/president-trump-wins-big-on-secret-meatpacking-robots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">productivity<\/a>, shrinks their political&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&amp;rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS946US946&amp;oq=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&amp;aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.10228j0j4&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">clout<\/a>, and widens&nbsp;regional wealth&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/08\/13\/zuckerbergs-data-says-amnesty-gives-economic-windfall-coastal-democratic-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gaps<\/a>. It&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/01\/survey-elite-imposed-migration-is-transforming-national-politics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">radicalizes<\/a>&nbsp;their democratic, compromise-promoting civic&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/search\/?s=%22white+supremacy%22#gsc.tab=0&amp;gsc.q=%22white%20supremacy%22&amp;gsc.page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">culture<\/a>, and allows elites to ignore&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Diseases_of_despair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">despairing Americans<\/a>&nbsp;at the&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JorgeAl49986803\/status\/1439791277571145737?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">bottom of society<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For many years, a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/03\/30\/harvard-harris-poll-5-in-6-americans-want-to-end-immigration-from-mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wide<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/01\/14\/poll-americans-want-companies-hire-americans-before-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">variety<\/a>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/04\/13\/ipsos-poll-nearly-8-in-10-americans-want-immigration-moratorium-for-u-s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pollsters<\/a>&nbsp;have&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/08\/05\/poll-swing-voters-hugely-oppose-2020-democrats-promising-more-immigration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shown<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2020\/04\/24\/poll-trumps-opponents-applaud-his-jobs-for-americans-immigration-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deep<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2017\/01\/31\/poll-shows-public-support-trump-migration-poicy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">broad<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/05\/28\/business-poll-backfires-shows-public-wants-less-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opposition<\/a>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/11\/16\/exit-polls-3-in-4-voters-want-less-immigration-during-and-after-pandemic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">labor migration<\/a>&nbsp;and the inflow of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/08\/06\/ipsos-poll-public-opposes-migrant-workers-by-21\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">temporary<\/a>&nbsp;contract workers&nbsp;into jobs sought by young U.S. graduates.
