Earlier this month, Rittenhouse was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-kyle-rittenhouse-found-not-guilty\">cleared<\/a> of all charges.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, the iconic clothing company took pains to address employees\u2019 \u201cpain and trauma.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the news that Kyle Rittenhouse was not convicted in the shooting of three individuals \u2014 two of whom lost their lives \u2014 during racial justice protests last year, this is a difficult day for many,\u201d wrote Levi Strauss chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer Elizabeth Morrison in a letter to staff obtained by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10242707\/Black-diversity-boss-offers-Levis-staff-individual-racial-trauma-counselling-Rittenhouse.html?ito=social-twitter_mailonline\">Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo help promote safety, sharing and to encourage healing, I\u2019ll be hosting a fireside chat and Q&amp;A with Dr. Jamila Codrington, a licensed psychologist and racial trauma specialist in early December,\u201d she continued. \u201cDr. J and I will talk about the mental and psychical impacts of back-to-back social and racial justice events and trauma coping mechanisms during our discussion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morrison wrote that \u201cresources to help [employees] impact social justice, equality and drive positive change.\u201d She noted the benefits of \u201cgetting educated and informed on the issue of gun violence\u201d and \u201creaching out to your elected officials to let them know just how important common-sense gun laws are to you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Mail reported that Codrington holds staunch left-wing views:<\/p>\n<p>Jamila Codrington is a New York-licensed psychologist who has appeared on various panels, claiming that \u201cblack people have been duped into thinking we do not matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Codrington appeared on the Karen Hunter radio show in January for a discussion about how \u201cwe must decolonize our minds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the main weapons of colonialism and white supremacy was to destroy our memory and to separate us from our wealth \u2013 our cultural wealth,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>A Levi Strauss spokesperson confirmed to both the Daily Mail and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/politics\/levi-strauss-offers-employees-session-with-racial-trauma-specialist-following-rittenhouse-verdict\">Fox Business<\/a> that the email was sent to all employees in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond Levi Strauss, California State University, Long Beach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/california-university-holds-kyle-rittenhouse-verdict-debriefing-for-students-provides-counseling-and-psychological-services\">gave<\/a> students and faculty the chance to attend a \u201cdebriefing\u201d of Rittenhouse\u2019s acquittal, which would be attended by staff from the Counseling and Psychological Services office.
