Nor are we merely stakeholders in the education of our children.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The group, which promotes the elimination of federal control of education, directed its remarks and a blog post to those parents who appear to be heartily endorsing \u201cparental rights\u201d legislation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt seems like enshrining parental rights into law would make them more powerful and perhaps provide a legal basis to prevent some of the atrocious infringements on the relationship between children and parents happening today,\u201d USPIE\u2019s blog <a href=\"https:\/\/uspie.blog\/\">read<\/a> Wednesday. But they warn such bills may not ensure the liberty they seem to&nbsp; promise.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"9.183800623053\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Are you thinking about supporting \u201cparental rights\u201d legislation?  With the endorsement of parents, many state legislatures are filing parental rights bills. But what if parental rights laws will only serve to reduce actual parental rights? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/y9rXEAKyHJ\">https:\/\/t.co\/y9rXEAKyHJ<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RealCandaceO?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RealCandaceO<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 USPIE (@StopFedEd) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/StopFedEd\/status\/1463544967364755461?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 24, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The group particularly observed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scstatehouse.gov\/sess124_2021-2022\/bills\/4555.htm\">proposed<\/a> South Carolina Parental Bill of Rights <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/education\/2021\/11\/14\/exclusive-help-moms-for-liberty-south-carolina-pre-files-parental-rights-bill\/\">endorsed<\/a> by grassroots organization Moms for Liberty, as Breitbart News reported.<\/p>\n<p>That bill states its purpose as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"10\">\n<p>TO&nbsp;PROHIBIT CERTAIN GOVERNMENT INFRINGEMENT&nbsp;ON THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS OF PARENTS TO DIRECT THE UPBRINGING, EDUCATION, HEALTH CARE, AND MENTAL HEALTH CARE OF THEIR CHILDREN&nbsp;EXCEPT IN LIMITED CIRCUMSTANCES \u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>USPIE questioned the bill\u2019s language, however:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"12\">\n<p>\u201cCertain\u201d infringement?&nbsp;Prohibited except in limited circumstances?&nbsp;Who defines which infringements are prohibited, and which are permitted?&nbsp;Who defines the exceptions?&nbsp;Legislation may attempt to define the details, but typically, the implementing bureaucracy has leverage to the details.&nbsp;Additionally, legislation can be modified over time.&nbsp;This is very dangerous wording.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>USPIE \u201cadvocates that parents not argue they have rights,\u201d the group states, recommending, instead, that \u201cparents act on their rights.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.7142857142857\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A poll Tuesday indicates 64 percent of general election voters believe the decision to vaccinate children should be made by parents and not by governments or school boards. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Q3i0uGhT5k\">https:\/\/t.co\/Q3i0uGhT5k<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1402286283746156546?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 8, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cParents have full authority over their children\u2019s education and it falls within their rights to reject education that conflicts with their families\u2019 values, just as communities should reject pedagogy that doesn\u2019t reflect local community values,\u201d USPIE explained to Breitbart News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously parents can and should act on their rights by removing their children from schools that are teaching things that will harm them and their relationship with their parents,\u201d the group elaborated. \u201cGovernment schools have become so toxic;
