The assault took place when a \u201cdriver <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/at-least-5-dead-40-injured-after-driver-plows-into-christmas-parade-possible-suspected-identified\">rammed<\/a>&nbsp;his SUV through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin,\u201d per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/gofundme-takes-down-bail-fund-started-for-alleged-waukesha-parade-killer\">The Daily Wire.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/waukesha-parade-crash-victim-jane-kulich-cancer-diagnosis\/\">reported<\/a> by CBS News, Kulich\u2019s husband \u201clearned from a medical examiner that she had previously undiagnosed uterine cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI was happy to hear that I could at least give my children the thought that maybe a lot of suffering was avoided,\u201d John Kulich told CBS. \u201cAt least give my children the thought that, well, maybe God took her so she didn\u2019t have to suffer. And if I could just leave them with that.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Kulich said his wife was \u201ca beautiful person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cNot only to us, but to everyone she met,\u201d he said. \u201cI never heard a bad word about her. Everyone who met her always loved her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Kulich said his wife was an organ donor and that he hoped this fact could provide his children with comfort. \u201cI\u2019m just trying to let them see the bright side because I know that\u2019s what Jane would want,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cShe had an interesting view on things and that everything was for a reason,\u201d Kulich said. \u201cThat was something she said constantly when anything bad would happen: \u2018Well, things happen for a reason\u2019 and we never know what the reason is. And so when I heard [the cancer diagnosis], I wanted to say, well maybe this is the reason. I don\u2019t know. But I\u2019d like to think that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cKulich said his last day with Jane began at church listening to a sermon about great couples of the world and how they are better together,\u201d CBS reported.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cSo I pulled her close and started rubbing her arm and she started rubbing my knee. She knew what I meant, and we knew that that was a word from God for us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Around six hours later in the day, Jane was at the parade where the attack took place.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cHer whole world was her family. And she was good at it, really good at it. She was the rock that held us together, the stable force,\u201d Kulich said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThe one thing I can say about her that I can\u2019t say about anybody else is that I\u2019ve never heard her say a bad word even about the people she doesn\u2019t like,\u201d her son, Jacob, said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">John Kulich and his wife, Jane, were married for 22 years.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201dWe were a team.
