These new immigrants, he says, are \u201cless likely to say \u2018shove it\u2019 to work in sectors where shortages are most acute.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Bloomberg&nbsp;report is headlined: \u201cAs Immigrants Pour In, Wages Stagnate in Surging Canadian Economy.\u201d<br \/>The report comes as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/11\/24\/nytimes-cites-one-dishwasher-jobs-in-australia-to-demand-more-u-s-cheap-labor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pro-migration advocates<\/a> are rehashing claims of a \u201clabor shortage\u201d in a nation with 170 million American workers, including millions of unemployed Americans.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"8.2978723404255\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Canada\u2019s immigration minister is trying to accept U.S.-based illegal migrants who are going to be sent back to their home countries, according to a report. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/y1HuPRj55C\">https:\/\/t.co\/y1HuPRj55C<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1344348970806616066?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 30, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>For example, <em>Washington Post<\/em> columnist Catherine Rampell <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2021\/11\/22\/legal-immigrant-workers-paperwork-renewal-backlog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">suggested<\/a> November 22 that employers have a right to cheap foreign labor even when Americans demand higher wages:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"11\">\n<p>Many factors contribute to our nationwide labor shortages, which are, in turn, driving supply-chain problems and inflation \u2026 But there\u2019s one underappreciated factor contributing to labor shortfalls that the Biden administration could alleviate almost immediately: the \u201cmissing\u201d immigrant workers.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote readability=\"7\">\n<p>Immigration inflows slowed sharply&nbsp;during the Trump administration&nbsp;and then collapsed under the combination of&nbsp;Trump-era policies&nbsp;and&nbsp;pandemic-driven closures \u2026 There are millions fewer immigrants here today than would have been the case if pre-Trump trends in immigration had continued.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Rampell described some of the migrants who are being used by employers to fill jobs that would otherwise provide rising wages to blue-collar Americans and their families:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"13\">\n[They] been employed in industries experiencing high-profile labor shortages: truck driving, food services, nursing, tech \u2026 Abelardo Rios is a telecommunications field technician who has been installing 5G equipment in Florida. His employer sometimes struggled to recruit workers even before covid-19, he says, \u201cbecause not everybody is willing to go up a tower that\u2019s 400 feet.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Rampell, Princeton \u201907,&nbsp; is a persistent advocate for the extraction of poor workers and consumers from foreign countries.&nbsp; That\u2019s good for CEOs, but especially good for clever investors, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/a16z.com\/author\/alex-rampell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">her Harvard-graduate brother,<\/a>&nbsp;who works for Andreessen Horowitz, an investment firm in Silicon Valley.<\/p>\n<p>The extraction of cheap workers and extra consumers from poor countries allows U.S. investors to promise that their new firms will earn higher future profits without any need to invest outside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/11\/20\/gop-donors-economist-immigration-can-offset-foreign-trade-risks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the United States<\/a>. The network has funded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/05\/06\/zuckerberg-funds-amnesty-street-protests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">many astroturf campaigns<\/a>, urged Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/03\/10\/zuckerbergs-fwd-us-to-amnesty-advocates-dont-talk-about-jobs-and-wages\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to not talk<\/a> about the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/04\/08\/elite-academics-hide-amnesty-wage-pain-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> economic impact<\/a> of migration, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/08\/18\/tv-networks-joe-bidens-mass-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">manipulated<\/a> coverage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/06\/08\/mayorkas-invites-more-deported-migrants-back-to-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">by the TV networks<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/07\/14\/associated-press-parrots-zuckerberg-amnesty-agenda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the print media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rampell\u2019s op-ed in the <em>Washington Post<\/em> is a close match for the lobbying agenda of FWD.us. She writes:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"10.656964656965\">\n<p>Eliminating some redundancies from the process [of awarding work permits to migrants] is a good start. The agency could<b>&nbsp;<\/b>also<b>&nbsp;<\/b>automatically extend more existing work permits while applicants wait for their renewals to be processed.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/working-in-the-united-states\/information-for-employers-and-employees\/automatic-employment-authorization-document-ead-extension\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Some categories<\/a>&nbsp;of noncitizens already get this courtesy, but even those grace periods are too short. Asylum seekers, for instance, have their existing work permits auto-extended for up to 180 days while the renewal application awaits processing.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Curiously, Rampell does not mention the draft Build Back Better bill that is soon to be debated in the Senate. The bill would provide the investors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/20\/media-hides-democrats-historic-migration-expansion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">with much of what they want<\/a>, including perhaps 3 million extra chain migrants, and a new supply of foreign college graduates for the jobs sought by U.S. graduates.<\/p>\n<p>In the United States, migration curbs Americans\u2019&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/07\/11\/president-trump-wins-big-on-secret-meatpacking-robots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">productivity<\/a>, shrinks their political&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&amp;rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS946US946&amp;oq=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&amp;aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.10228j0j4&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">clout<\/a>, and widens&nbsp;regional wealth&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/08\/13\/zuckerbergs-data-says-amnesty-gives-economic-windfall-coastal-democratic-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gaps<\/a>. It&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/01\/survey-elite-imposed-migration-is-transforming-national-politics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">radicalizes<\/a>&nbsp;their democratic, compromise-promoting civic&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/search\/?s=%22white+supremacy%22#gsc.tab=0&amp;gsc.q=%22white%20supremacy%22&amp;gsc.page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">culture<\/a>, and allows elites to ignore&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Diseases_of_despair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">despairing Americans<\/a>&nbsp;at the&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\"
