In the first week of November they were up 54 per cent on the same period last year, and up 16 per cent on 2019.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Demand is so high that Flexjet has stopped taking on new customers for its entry-level Jet Card programme. So has NetJets, which has reported the highest demand for flying in its near 60-year history and is investing about $2.5bn in 100 new aircraft, according to the <em>FT<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The push is coming from the rich, the famous, from Wall Street to Hollywood and beyond.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.3928571428571\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Being a rich eco-hypocrite Hollywood elite like Chris Hemsworth means riding on private jets while lecturing all us peasants about global warming. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KPm7WZLYRR\">https:\/\/t.co\/KPm7WZLYRR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1363625114554822656?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 21, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The extraordinary demand is apparently hostage to the erratic return of regular commercial flights \u2014 slimmed timetables and constantly changing flight times annoying those who demand to fly when they want and money.<\/p>\n<p>Lots and lots of money helps, too.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"paywall\">The world\u2019s 500 richest people added $1.2&nbsp;trillion to their fortunes this year through October, according to the&nbsp;<a title=\"Bloomberg Billionaires Index\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/billionaires\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg Billionaires Index<\/a>, powered by booming stock markets and central banks flooding economies with new money.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Such forces have also spawned dozens of new billionaires in just 12 months.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"paywall\">Their combined buying power is minted from initial public offerings, SPAC deals, cryptocurrencies and company mergers as well as massive government contracts seeking supplies of coronavirus treatment and personal protective clothing.<\/p>\n<p>Impact on the environment is very much a lesser concern, even for those frequent private jet flyers who profess to a profound concern for the planet.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.3846153846154\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Billionaire jet-owning Elites convene for globalist confab to discuss how to get the peasantry to focus on global warming. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZCPRZDSQaH\">https:\/\/t.co\/ZCPRZDSQaH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1413609619985944577?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 9, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>The <em>Daily Mail<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10214833\/Private-jets-suddenly-popular-theres-global-shortage-writes-JANE-FRYER.html\">reports<\/a> the average decent-sized private jet roars through about 380 gallons of fuel, emits two tonnes of CO2 for every hour in flight and generates an annual fuel bill of about $U.S. 450,000 a year.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s not the only cost involved.<\/p>\n<p>To put that in context, the total carbon footprint of an average person \u2014 including all travel and food \u2014 is approximately eight tonnes per year.<\/p>\n<p>According to U.S. aviation manufacturer&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aerospace.honeywell.com\/us\/en\/learn\/about-us\/press-release\/2021\/10\/honeywell-forecast-quick-rebound-business-aviation-flight-hours-purchase-plans-grow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Honeywell Aerospace<\/a>, this imprint has not stopped the sales of private jets also going up, with aircraft manufacturers reporting a strong increase in orders since the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Buyers can find a&nbsp;helicopter with vegan seats, a jet with a sundeck and garage, and a hotelier\u2019s design to hold discos at 35,000 feet \u2014 all three concepts unveiled at the Dubai Airshow last week among a host of others designed to keep VIP travelers comfortable in the sky.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18904034\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"34\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2021\/11\/GettyImages-1236566182.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-18904034\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/GettyImages-1236566182-1024x683-1.jpg\" alt width=\"990\" height=\"660\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>A Dassault Falcon business jet aircraft on the tarmac at the 2021 Dubai Airshow in the Gulf emirate on November 14, 2021.
