In each, there was video of the events in question. And the jury in Kenosha decided that Rittenhouse had acted in reasonable fear for his life, while the jury in Glynn County, Georgia, decided that Travis McMichael, Greg McMichael, and William Bryan had not. Hence the different results in each.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Conservatives celebrated the Rittenhouse acquittal as an affirmation that the American justice system still works \u2014 that truth will still prevail, when presented to ordinary citizens on a jury. And black American leaders celebrated the convictions for Arbery\u2019s murder as proof that even a jury with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/24\/al-sharpton-praises-11-whites-1-black-jury-following-ahmaud-arbery-trial\/\">eleven<\/a> white members will consider the facts, independent of any prejudices.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The only people unhappy in both instances were President Joe Biden, and the liberal-left Democrats whom he represents.<\/p>\n<p>Though Biden initially said that he respected the decision of the jury in the Rittenhouse case, he later issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/19\/joe-biden-angry-concerned-rittenhouse-jury-verdict-calls-peaceful-protests\/\">statement<\/a> in which he said that he was \u201cangry and concerned\u201d about the verdict, though he gave no reasons for his sudden consternation.<\/p>\n<p>No doubt, Biden\u2019s staff were at pains to keep him on message with the left, and with congressional Democrats, such as House Democratic Caucus Chair Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hakeemjeffries\/status\/1458547713381896193?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1458547713381896193%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com%2Fpolitics%2F2021%2F11%2F11%2Frep-jeffries-criminal-justice-reform-advocate-blasted-on-twitter-after-saying-lock-up-kyle-rittenhouse%2F\">tweeted<\/a>: \u201cLock up Kyle Rittenhouse and throw away the key.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When the Arbery verdict was handed down, Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/24\/jjoe-biden-guilty-verdicts-in-ahmaud-arbery-case-not-enough-in-fight-for-racial-justice\/\">said<\/a> that the convictions for the three white defendants \u2014 who will likely spend the rest of their lives in prison \u2014 was \u201cnot enough,\u201d and that more needed to be done to achieve \u201cracial justice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many of us already believe we have justice \u2014 because we are the ones dispensing it, thanks to the American jury system.<\/p>\n<p><em>Joel B.
