(Photo by Amy Beth Bennett-Pool\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>NBC News reported two FBI agents <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2018\/02\/16\/fbi-couldnt-track-down-florida-shooter-after-he-used-real-name-in-public-youtube-threat\/\">interviewed<\/a> the bondsman, Ben Bennight, but never contacted Cruz over his comment, allegedly because the agency was unable to identify him, even though his full name was used in the comment.<\/p>\n<p>In remarks about the FBI\u2019s failure to follow up on Cruz\u2019s comments, Robert Lasky, special agent in charge of the FBI\u2019s Miami division, said, \u201cNo other information was included with that comment, which would indicate a time, location, or the true identity of the person who made the comment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe FBI conducted database reviews, checks, but was unable to further identify the person who actually made the comment,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI revealed two days after the February 14, 2018, shooting it had received tips about Cruz, but failed to investigate them according to its normal procedures.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<div id=\"attachment_8181389\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"37\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/school-shooting-parkland-florida-valentines-day-2-14-18-ap.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8181389\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/school-shooting-parkland-florida-valentines-day-2-14-18-ap.jpg\" alt=\"Medical personnel tend to a victim following a shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018. (John McCall\/South Florida Sun-Sentinel via AP)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The <em>Times<\/em> report noted the devastation of families of the victims when the FBI acknowledged they had indeed received information about Cruz ahead of the shooting massacre at the Broward County school:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"20\">\n<p>Fred Guttenberg was picking out a casket for his 14-year-old daughter, Jaime, two days after the shooting when he got an urgent call from an F.B.I. agent working with the families.
