McMichael\u2019s father was also charged and found guilty for joining his son by pursuing Arbery as well as a neighbor, William Bryan.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>All three defendants in the trial for Arbery\u2019s case were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/crime\/2021\/11\/24\/watch-guilty-verdicts-for-all-three-defendants-in-ahmaud-arbery-murder-trial\/\">found<\/a> guilty, despite questions from some media outlets and activists that justice would not be served in the trial from a majority white jury.<\/p>\n<p>Biden described Arbery\u2019s killing as a \u201cdevastating reminder of how far we have to go in the fight for racial justice in this country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He called for all Americans to commit to build a future in the United States \u201cwhere no one fears violence because of the color of their skin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy administration will continue to do the hard work to ensure that equal justice under law is not just a phrase emblazoned in stone above the Supreme Court, but a reality for all Americans,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/joebiden.com\/2020\/05\/29\/my-remarks-on-george-floyd-and-the-unfolding-situation-in-minnesota\/\">featured<\/a> Arbery\u2019s death in his 2020 presidential campaign as evidence of racial injustice in America, also speaking out on the deaths of George Floyd, Eric Garner, and Breonna Taylor, calling each case evidence of the \u201coriginal sin\u201d of slavery still having an effect in the United States.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Joe Biden acknowledged the guilty verdicts for the defendants in the Ahmaud Arbery case but said it was \u201cnot enough\u201d to ensure racial justice in the United States.
