Brooks Jr., the lone suspect in the Waukesha Christmas parade massacre, was charged with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide on Tuesday, with bail set for $5 million cash.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors outlined the charges on Tuesday afternoon during Brooks\u2019 first court appearance following the horrific attack where he learned of a sixth fatality \u2013 an 8-year-old boy named Jackson Sparks, who died Tuesday from injuries sustained during the massacre. Though Brooks was only charged with five counts of intentional homicide at the hearing for the five confirmed fatalities, a sixth charge will soon likely be brought against Brooks as a result of Sparks\u2019 death. Here are the names of the confirmed victims:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote readability=\"15\">\n<p>1.) Wilhelm Hospel, age 81<\/p>\n<p>2.) Virginia \u201cGinny\u201d Sorenson, age 79<\/p>\n<p>3.)&nbsp;LeAnna Owen, age 71<\/p>\n<p>4.) Tamara Durand, age 52<\/p>\n<p>5.) Jane Kulich, age 52<\/p>\n<p>6.) Jackson Sparks, age 8<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As many as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/11\/23\/us\/waukesha-car-parade-crowd-tuesday\/index.html\">62 people were injured<\/a>&nbsp;on Sunday when Brooks allegedly plowed an SUV through crowds of people attending the Waukesha Christmas parade. Multiple people, including several children, remain in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>Brooks\u2019 bail was set at $5 million cash, a noteworthy amount, given that he was released from prison just days prior to the attack <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/22\/olte-democrat-run-city-released-darrell-brooks-on-1000-bail-days-before-parade-massacre\/\">on a $1000 bond<\/a> despite his lengthy, multi-state criminal history going back to 1999. Noted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/waukesha-parade-darrell-brooks-charges-bail\">Fox News:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p>Brooks\u2019 violent past stretches back to 1999 when he was accused and later convicted of aggravated battery with intent to cause great bodily harm. Most recently, he allegedly ran a woman over and punched her in the face on Nov. 2. He has an outstanding warrant in Nevada for skipping bail on a sex crime charge.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Waukesha District Attorney Susan Opper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/waukesha-parade-darrell-brooks-charges-bail\">told Fox News Digital<\/a> Monday evening that her office would seek a \u201cbail so high that Brooks would have no chance of posting it.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Milwaukee District Attorney John Chisholm has been an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/22\/olte-democrat-run-city-released-darrell-brooks-on-1000-bail-days-before-parade-massacre\/\">outspoken supporter<\/a>&nbsp;of bail reform and even previously praised the election of Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon, notorious for his&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/11\/17\/magazine\/george-gascon-los-angeles.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">soft on violent crime<\/a>&nbsp;policies.<\/p>\n<p>In a&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/darrell-brooks-should-not-have-been-released-low-bail-milwaukee-da-admits-1652059\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">statement<\/a>&nbsp;following the attack, Chisholm said that the \u201cbail recommendation\u201d for Darrell Brooks was \u201cnot consistent\u201d with his policies:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"10\">\n<p>The bail recommendation, in this case, is not consistent with the approach of the Milwaukee County District Attorney\u2019s Office toward matters involving violent crime, nor was it consistent with the risk assessment of the defendant prior to the setting of bail.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The motive for the alleged attack still remains unknown, though police have made clear that Brooks\u2019 alleged crime was \u201cintentional.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.6829268292683\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I\u2019m here at the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Waukesha?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Waukesha<\/a> County Courthouse awaiting the 4 p.m. CT court appearance for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/waukeshaChristmasParade?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#waukeshaChristmasParade<\/a> suspect Darnell Brooks. Waukesha residents packed the courtroom as the charges were read. Fox News reported:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p>As bailiffs took Brooks from the courtroom at the end of his bail hearing, they turned him around to face the packed room.
