A Wisconsin jury <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-kyle-rittenhouse-found-not-guilty\">acquitted<\/a> Rittenhouse after the teen killed two men and wounded a third in self-defense last year during violent riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p>The defense attorney ripped into the media, specifically pointing to the networks MSNBC and CNN for their biased portrayal of the case and omission of facts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can say this: much of the coverage at the beginning was wrong. The trial proved that,\u201d Richards said. \u201cJust in the last two weeks, you know, you people may not believe this, but I watch MSNBC, CNN. I\u2019m not a big Fox guy. And when I hear Joe Scarborough saying my client shot his gun 60 times, that\u2019s wrong. When I hear some guest host on Joy Reid say my client drove four hours to go to a riot with his AR, that\u2019s wrong. It\u2019s false.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt makes me angry that they can\u2019t take the time to at least get the generic, basic facts correct because it didn\u2019t fit in the story they wanted to tell,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Richards took over Rittenhouse\u2019s defense from Rittenhouse\u2019s prior defense team led by attorneys Lin Wood and John Pierce, who Rittenhouse has now accused of using his case to fundraise for themselves. He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/rittenhouse-on-filing-defamation-lawsuits-really-good-lawyers-are-taking-care-of-that-right-now\">told<\/a> Fox News host Tucker Carlson in an interview that aired Sunday evening that \u201cI have really good lawyers who are taking care of that\u201d when Carlson asked him about holding \u201cliars to account.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rittenhouse\u2019s mother made similar statements in an interview with Fox News.
