Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is introducing a measure to prevent taxpayer dollars from being spent in settlement payments to illegal immigrants stemming from litigation against the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>Boebert said in a&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/boebert.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/rep-lauren-boebert-introduces-legislation-halt-biden-regimes-plan-give-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement:<\/a><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote readability=\"18\">\n<p>In Biden\u2019s America, it is better to be a criminal than a law enforcement officer. Border Patrol agents may be fired because of Biden\u2019s vaccine mandate for federal employees, but illegal aliens get a free pass into our country and could receive a $450,000 check.<\/p>\n<p>For contrast, the highest-paid Border Patrol agents make less than half that in yearly salary after 20 years of service. I\u2019ve had enough of the Biden regime\u2019s madness, so I introduced the We\u2019re Not Paying You to Break Our Laws Act to restore sanity and the rule of law. We should be putting Americans first, not criminals!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Boebert introduced the \u201cWe\u2019re Not Paying You to Break Our Laws Act\u201d on Monday after the&nbsp;<em>Wall Street Journal<\/em>&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/biden-administration-in-talks-to-pay-hundreds-of-millions-to-immigrant-families-separated-at-border-11635447591\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>&nbsp;last month that the Biden administration was in talks to give $450,000 to immigrant families separated under Trump.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Although President Biden&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/11\/03\/us\/politics\/biden-rejects-payments-migrants.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a>&nbsp;reporters these payments are \u201cnot gonna happen,\u201d Biden\u2019s Deputy Press Secretary walked back his comments. The Deputy Press Secretary&nbsp;<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/580142-white-house-walks-back-biden-comments-on-migrant-families-payments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>, \u201cThe president is perfectly comfortable with the Department of Justice settling with the individuals and families who are currently in litigation with the United States government.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPay $450,000 of USA taxpayer $$$ to each illegal immigrant separated at the border?
