Brooks Jr., the Wisconsin man suspected&nbsp;of plowing his SUV through the&nbsp;Waukesha Christmas parade&nbsp;on Sunday&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;killing five people and injuring over 40 others&nbsp;\u2014 intentionally ran her over with his vehicle earlier this month, according to a Monday report.<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jsonline.com\/story\/news\/crime\/2021\/11\/22\/suspect-waukesha-parade-incident-identified-darrell-brooks-jr\/8717524002\/\"><em>Milwaukee Journal Sentinel<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;reports:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote readability=\"21\">\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Darrell Brooks Jr., the man suspected of being the driver, has been charged three times in less than two years with recklessly endangering the safety of others, most recently on Nov. 5 as part of a domestic abuse incident for which he was also charged with resisting or obstructing an officer. In the case this month,&nbsp;a woman told police Brooks purposefully ran her \u201cover with his vehicle\u201d while she was walking through a gas station parking lot after he had followed her there after a fight, according to the criminal complaint. The woman was hospitalized for her injuries, court records show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Brooks posted $1,000 bond on Nov. 11 in the most recent incident and was released from Milwaukee County Jail on Nov. 16, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff\u2019s Office. He also was charged in July 2020 with two felony counts of second-degree recklessly endangering the safety of others using a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">On Monday,&nbsp;Milwaukee County District Attorney\u2019s Office, headed up by District Attorney John Chisholm, said the $1,000&nbsp;bail was \u201cinappropriately low\u201d due to the severity of the charges.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.4074074074074\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Waukesha update; Milwaukee County District Attorney says the state\u2019s bail recommendation was \u201cinappropriately low\u201d in Darrell Brooks\u2019 ongoing criminal case. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6AOUsEFraR\">pic.twitter.com\/6AOUsEFraR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mary Spicuzza (@MSpicuzzaMJS) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MSpicuzzaMJS\/status\/1462835382857486336?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 22, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cThis office is currently conducting an internal review of the decision to make the recent bail recommendation in this matter in order to determine the appropriate next steps,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Parade attendees watched in horror as a&nbsp;red SUV sped through the annual event, ramming into members of the Waukesha South High School Blackshirt Band, and the Milwaukee Dancing Grannies, which&nbsp;confirmed some of their members died in the tragedy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cThose who died were extremely passionate Grannies. Their eyes gleamed \u2026 joy of being a Grannie. They were the glue \u2026 held us together,\u201d the group said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Six children <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisn.com\/article\/darrell-brooks-waukesha-christmas-parade-suspected-suv-driver-what-we-know\/38322128\">injured<\/a> in the parade were rushed to Children\u2019s Wisconsin Hospital and are in critical condition,.
