The total cost of the payouts would reach $1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>A CBS News\/YouGov <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1oZJYQJeL0W7EwU0vEiu3a-86NGerlHg8\/view\">poll<\/a> finds that 63 percent of American adults are opposed to providing $450,000 to border crossers \u2014 including nearly 4-in-10 Biden supporters, 64 percent of swing voters, and 92 percent of Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, just 37 percent of American adults said they support the payouts to border crossers. Democrats tend to support the payouts by a nearly 70 percent majority, while close to 4-in-10 said they oppose the payouts.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The nation\u2019s white working class, a vital demographic with millions who remain unregistered to vote, said by a 74 percent majority that they oppose the payouts, while 67 percent of college-educated white Americans said the same.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News has noted, the $450,000 payouts to border crossers&nbsp;would far&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/29\/bidens-450k-reparations-for-border-crossers-exceeds-payments-to-9-11-victims-american-military-families\/\">exceed<\/a>&nbsp;the&nbsp;compensation&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/31\/bidens-450k-border-crossers-nearly-double-payments-given-boston-bombing-victims\/\">provided<\/a>&nbsp;to the victims of the September 11, 2001, Islamic terrorist attacks and of the Boston Marathon bombings.<\/p>\n<p>The poll also showed that most Americans, about 57 percent, said Biden and the Democrats are \u201cnot tough enough\u201d when it comes to national immigration policy. More than 6-in-10 swing voters said the same as well as 53 percent of Hispanic Americans.<\/p>\n<p>When Americans were asked about border crossers\u2019 motives for illegally trying to cross the United States-Mexico border, 53 percent said \u201cmost\u201d believe that the Biden administration will apprehend them and then release them into the U.S. interior.<\/p>\n<p>Current estimates based on DHS data reveal that anywhere from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/27\/report-joe-biden-releases-more-than-half-a-million-border-crossers-into-u-s\/\">530,000<\/a>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/09\/26\/brandon-judd-bidens-added-nearly-1m-illegal-aliens-u-s-eight-months\/\">600,000<\/a>&nbsp;illegal aliens have been released into the U.S. interior by the Biden administration from January to September.<\/p>\n<p>While Americans are increasingly opposed to Biden\u2019s mass immigration policies, his administration and elected Democrats are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/19\/vulnerable-house-democrats-vote-largest-amnesty-american-history\/\">seeking to pass<\/a> the largest amnesty for illegal aliens in American history that would allow millions to secure work permits and driver\u2019s licenses while expanding legal immigration levels.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>John Binder is a reporter for Breitbart News.
