autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p><span>Richards <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insider.com\/rittenhouse-attorney-phone-death-threats-2021-11\">told<\/a> Insider he \u201ccan\u2019t count\u201d the amount of death threats he has received as the number is \u201ctoo high.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The defense attorney has begun using his wife\u2019s phone, though he told Insider her number has also been on the receiving end of threatening calls.<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI\u2019m going through my emails, there are threatening emails too,\u201d Richards added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Richards\u2019 client Rittenhouse stood trial for killing two and wounding one during the August 25, 2020, Black Lives Matter riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin.&nbsp;<\/span><span>Rittenhouse had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/law-and-order\/2021\/11\/19\/verdict-kyle-rittenhouse-found-not-guilty-on-all-charges\/\">faced<\/a> two murder charges, one attempted murder charge, and two charges of reckless endangerment before Friday\u2019s acquittal, per previous reporting by Breitbart News.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Rittenhouse was visibly relieved and became emotional listening to the jury\u2019s not guilty verdicts following the contentious trial.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Breitbart News\u2019s Joel Pollak previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/law-and-order\/2021\/11\/19\/verdict-kyle-rittenhouse-found-not-guilty-on-all-charges\/\">reported<\/a>:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"20.880817253121\">\n<p><span>The defense argued that Rittenhouse had acted in self-defense, in reasonable fear of imminent death or grievous bodily harm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In addition, the defense had repeatedly argued for a mistrial. During the trial itself, the defense said that the prosecution had infringed on Rittenhouse\u2019s Fifth Amendment rights by commenting on his post-arrest silence. The prosecutor also mentioned evidence that the judge had specifically ruled out of the trial. Judge Bruce Schroeder agreed, and admonished the prosecutor, but allowed the trial to continue, saying he would rule on the motion to dismiss later.
