(Photo by Sean Gallup\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Hunter, Heinz, and Schwerin \u201cjoined Chinese partners in establishing the firm in 2013, known as BHR and formally named Bohai Harvest RST (Shanghai) Equity Investment Fund Management Company,\u201d the&nbsp;<em>Times<\/em>&nbsp;reported.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter, Heinz, and&nbsp;Schwerin reportedly owned 30 percent of the BHR while 70 percent of BHR was \u201ccontrolled&nbsp;by Chinese investors that include the Bank of China, according to records filed with Chinese regulators.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>It should be noted the Bank of China possesses close ties to the Chinese Communist Party.<\/p>\n<p>Just after then-Vice President Biden left office with Barack Obama in 2016, Hunter, Heinz, Schwerin, and Bank of China successfully \u201cbought and later sold a stake in CATL, a fast-growing Chinese company that is now the world\u2019s biggest maker of batteries for electric vehicles.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Times<\/em>&nbsp;also reported that in 2016, a Chinese mining company, China Molybdenum, bought a cobalt mine for $2.65 billion from an American company named Freeport-McMoRan.<\/p>\n<p>Through a complex web of transactions via shell companies,&nbsp;Hunter\u2019s company, BHR, was reportedly a part of the purchase of&nbsp;Freeport-McMoRan with China Molybdenum, by raising money from Chinese investors to purchase ownership shares in the mine.<\/p>\n<p>The transactions concluded with&nbsp;China Molybdenum owning 80 percent of the mine&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;a classic tale of the&nbsp;elites benefiting from the United States\u2019 managed decline.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Hunter\u2019s company reportedly obtained a ten percent share in the mine, which he sold to China Molybdenum from a Washington company named Skaneateles \u2014 which he also owns a stake in.<\/p>\n<p>Skaneateles reportedly still&nbsp;<a class title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/05\/01\/report-hunter-biden-still-holds-stake-in-equity-firm-co-owned-by-chinas-central-bank\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">owns<\/a>&nbsp;a stake in BHR, though the&nbsp;<em>Times<\/em>&nbsp;reported Hunter&nbsp;\u201cno longer holds any interest, directly or indirectly, in either BHR or Skaneateles,\u201d according to Hunter\u2019s lawyer Chris Clark.<\/p>\n<p>It is unknown how much Hunter profited from using his network of connections while his father was vice president. Emails from Hunter\u2019s laptop indicate \u201che was told on multiple occasions by his business partner Eric Schwerin that he could expect to receive significant payments from BHR beginning in 2019,\u201d the Daily Caller&nbsp;<a class title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/05\/01\/report-hunter-biden-still-holds-stake-in-equity-firm-co-owned-by-chinas-central-bank\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>&nbsp;in May.<\/p>\n<p>The complex financial maneuvers have&nbsp;allegedly caught the eye of the FBI. In December of 2020, CNN&nbsp;<a class title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2020\/12\/09\/politics\/hunter-biden-tax-investigtation\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;the FBI had been investigating Hunter and his associates since 2018 for violating \u201ctax and money laundering laws in business dealings in foreign countries, principally China, according to two people briefed on the probe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The probe is reportedly still ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Hunter\u2019s business dealings have likely come at the expense of the United States.
