The committee found that without the gimmicks and sunsets, the plan would cost nearly $5 trillion over ten years.<\/p>\n<p>As highlighted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/11\/19\/critics-warning-on-hidden-costs-of-bidens-build-back-better-agenda\/\">New York Post<\/a>, Republican New York Representative Nicole Malliotakis said of the bill, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/11\/19\/us\/politics\/house-passes-reconciliation-bill.html\">passed<\/a> the House on a completely party-line vote, \u201cIt is a destructive bill that will crush the middle class and hard-working Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Malliotakis, who notably was one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/13-republicans-help-nancy-pelosi-and-democrats-pass-bidens-infrastructure-bill\">13 House Republicans<\/a> who voted for the administration\u2019s $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill, ridiculed the prospective legislation, calling it the \u201cBuild Back Broke Bill,\u201d and arguing that the bill\u2019s spending was \u201cunsustainable.\u201d \u201cAs Margaret Thatcher said, at some point, you run out of other people\u2019s money,\u201d Malliotakis said. Nearly half would impact Americans making less than $75,000 in annual income.\u201cThese people will be harassed by the IRS and guess who a lot of these people are?
