Henry has filed a $2 billion lawsuit against rapper Travis Scott and organizers of the Astroworld Music Festival, which resulted in at least ten deaths.<\/p>\n<p>Henry filed the lawsuit on behalf of&nbsp;282 alleged victims of the Astroworld tragedy on November 5 during Scott\u2019s performance,&nbsp;according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chron.com\/culture\/article\/Thomas-J-Henry-files-2B-lawsuit-against-Travis-16631372.php\">report<\/a> by Houston\u2019s Chron.com.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The lawsuit \u2014 which names Scott, as well as rapper Drake, Apple Music, Live Nation, and Houston\u2019s NRG Stadium \u2014 reportedly follows&nbsp;a $750 million suit filed Tuesday by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee. That lawsuit has been filed against&nbsp;Scott, Drake, Live Nation, Epic Records, Apple Music, and others associated with the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe&nbsp;defendants stood to make an exorbitant amount of money off this event, and they still chose to cut corners, cut costs, and put attendees at risk,\u201d Henry said in a Thursday news release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy clients want to ensure the defendants are held responsible for their actions, and they want to send the message to all performers, event organizers, and promoters that what happened at Astroworld cannot happen again,\u201d the attorney added.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>In a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/2021\/11\/12\/travis-scott-astroworld-injuries-dead-bodies-lawyer-interview\/\">interview<\/a> with&nbsp;Hollywood Life, Henry said the concertgoers he is&nbsp;representing \u201chave&nbsp;injuries ranging from heart attacks, to heart issues, to brain injuries, to spinal injuries, to broken bones, broken legs, eye injuries, internal organ injuries, bruising and bleeding.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to&nbsp;physical injuries, Henry added that his clients have suffered emotionally as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose who were injured are still very traumatized because they had to step over dead bodies,\u201d he said. \u201cThey didn\u2019t have a choice because there was nowhere to move. These people were trapped. The crushing effect was so heavy and so hard. They couldn\u2019t breathe. They couldn\u2019t get out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the lawsuits, several other entities are attempting to distance themselves from Scott in the wake of the November 5 tragedy.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Nike <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/11\/16\/nike-postpones-travis-scotts-air-max-1-release-after-astroworld-tragedy\/\">announced<\/a> that it is postponing the release of its collaboration with Scott \u2014 the \u201cAir Max 1 x Cactus Jack\u201d \u2014 citing the rapper\u2019s Astroworld performance as the cause for the company\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, it was reported that&nbsp;<em>W Magazine<\/em> is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/11\/17\/w-magazine-wants-pull-rapper-travis-scott-girlfriend-kylie-jenner-cover-after-astroworld-tragedy\/\">attempting to recall<\/a> its upcoming issue, with a cover featuring rapper Scott and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, after the rapper\u2019s chaotic&nbsp;Astroworld performance.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, the online game Fortnite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/11\/09\/fortnite-cancels-travis-scott-after-astroworld-tragedy\/\">deleted<\/a> from its shop an emote that included an audio snippet of Scott\u2019s track \u201cOut West.\u201d An emote is a dance move or action that characters can perform during an online game.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.change.org\/p\/aeg-remove-travis-scott-as-a-goldenvoice-performer\">petition<\/a> to stop the rapper from performing at next year\u2019s Coachella Festival has attracted over 50,000 signatures, surpassing its initial objective, and upping its signature goal to&nbsp;75,000.<\/p>\n<p><em>You can follow Alana Mastrangelo on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ARmastrangelo\">Facebook<\/a> and Twitter at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ARmastrangelo\">@ARmastrangelo<\/a>, and on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/alanamastrangelo\/\">Instagram<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Texas-based personal injury attorney Thomas J.
