There are three top-25 games on the schedule, and they\u2019re perfectly timed for you to not have an excuse to leave the couch for the entirety of the day.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While there are many games with upset potential, we\u2019re going to focus on the four that will have the biggest impact on the CFP.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So, with that, let\u2019s take a look at the games to watch in week 12.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>No. 4 Ohio State vs No. 7 Michigan State \u2013 12:00 p.m. ET, FOX<\/p>\n<p>FOX Noon Kickoff has been killing it all year long, and they may be giving us the game of the day first thing in the morning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ohio State is coming off a very impressive win over Purdue, and now are tasked with playing two top-10 teams to finish off their regular season \u2014 the Buckeyes travel to The Big House to take on Michigan in week 13.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Michigan State has surprised many by going 9-1 \u2014 including a win over in-state rival Michigan \u2014 in Mel Tucker\u2019s second year as head coach.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCertainly turned that roster, quickly, over to a championship-level roster,\u201d Ohio State head coach Ryan Day <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/preview\/_\/gameId\/401282786\">said<\/a> of Tucker.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The game has massive implications for the Big 10 and for the College Football Playoff, with the loser ending any hope of a CFP berth. Ohio State has won eight straight following a week two loss to Oregon, but college football\u2019s leading rusher in Kenneth Walker poses a major threat to a defense that gave up 269 yards on the ground to Oregon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s going to take more than one guy to bring him down,\u201d Day <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dispatch.com\/story\/sports\/2021\/11\/17\/ohio-state-football-up-against-michigan-states-kenneth-walker\/8637814002\/\">said<\/a>. \u201cI think his vision, his patience, his ability to make a guy miss in the whole, are probably some of the things he does best.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Buckeyes have not allowed a 100-yard rusher since their loss to Oregon.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan State\u2019s pass defense is dreadful, last in the FBS allowing 329 yards per game through the air. He\u2019s hard to sack. He\u2019s extended plays and made plays, running and throwing. He\u2019s a very challenging guy to try to defend,\u201d Saban added.No. 5 Cincinnati vs SMU \u2013 3:30 p.m. ET, ESPNCincinnati is on the outside looking in of the College Football Playoff picture, and their week 12 game is a chance to impress against the 8-2 Mustangs. The Bearcats have failed to dominate in past weeks, coming off an unimpressive 45-28 win over a poor South Florida team.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s the last guaranteed game for our seniors to play in Nippert Stadium,\u201d Bearcats coach Luke Fickell said. \u201cAnd it\u2019s a big week. It\u2019s a huge, huge game. This is a game we have been waiting for, for quite some time.\u201dSMU has the eighth most prolific passing attack in college football (329.0 yards per game), they lead the AAC in points per game (41.6) and quarterback Tanner Mordecai is second in the country with 37 passing touchdowns.\u00a0\u201cYou can see their evolution,\u201d Fickell said. \u201c(Mordecai) is a very, very, very good one. He does a lot of things, not just throwing the football. It\u2019s how he makes things happen under pressure. And he can run a little bit.\u201d\u00a0No. 23 Utah vs No. 3 Oregon \u2013 7:30 p.m. ET, ABCA phenomenal opportunity for the Pac-12, and also an incredibly dangerous one.\u00a0The Pac-12 conference has missed out on the last four College Football Playoffs\u2019, and a second loss by Oregon would almost guarantee a fifth straight year without the conference being represented. The winner clinches a spot in the Pac-12 championship game.\u00a0\u201cWe prepare the same way every single week,\u201d Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal said about his team playing in big games. \u201cYou like to think that every single week you\u2019re getting better and better. That\u2019s always been the goal. I think teams that really focus on the points of technique, fundamentals, the simplicity of pad level, at this time of the year have the ability to keep getting better. If you do that, your season gets stronger. We\u2019ve been doing that, and we still have miles to go.
