Anthony Sabatini (R-FL) discussed the recent January 6 committee subpoenas to numerous former members of the Trump administration, warning of the legal precedents being set by the Department of Justice (DOJ) \u2014 an agency he deemed \u201crotten to its core\u201d by the scandal-ridden Biden administration, which he accused of weaponizing the FBI against the American people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>January 6 Commission:<\/b><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>Sabatini began with his take on the House select committee\u2019s aim to investigate the January 6 Capitol riot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe [committee\u2019s] goal is to try and use process crimes to inflict pain on their [political] enemies because if someone did nothing wrong, it\u2019s easier to just launch an investigation and then try to find fault related to where the process rolls out,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cUsually, it\u2019s an obstruction charge,\u201d he added.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>He also expressed his belief that the commission\u2019s real purpose is actually about \u201cfinding ways to entangle people in the law.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15356007\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"37\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/GettyImages-1230450646.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-15356007\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/GettyImages-1230450646.jpg\" alt=\"A person raises a &quot;Make America Great&quot; hat as US President Donald Trump speaks to supporters from The Ellipse near the White House on January 6, 2021, in Washington, DC. - Thousands of Trump supporters, fueled by his spurious claims of voter fraud, are flooding the nation&#039;s capital protesting the expected certification of Joe Biden&#039;s White House victory by the US Congress. (Photo by BRENDAN SMIALOWSKI\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>\u201cThe January 6 commission is simply about keeping [former President] Trump in the spotlight and inflicting pain on anybody that wants to continue to support an America first agenda going forward,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s what it\u2019s really about.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Referring to the Russia collusion narrative as a \u201choax\u201d that \u201cwent on for far too long\u201d as it was used to \u201cinflict an enormous amount of process crimes on people related to the Trump campaign and administration,\u201d he described what he saw as similarities between the committee\u2019s moves and the Russia \u201cblueprint\u201d created years ago which is currently on \u201cauto-repeat.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt\u2019s just very disgraceful because there was no real reason to begin the [Russia hoax] investigations,\u201d he said, describing the select committee as a \u201cnew bludgeoning instrument\u201d being used \u201cto suck in and investigate [and] inflict harm upon anybody related to MAGA.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>\u201cAnd I think the truth is the only good part, the only real positive aspect happening right now, is that people kind of see through it,\u201d he added. \u201cThey realize what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Sabatini described Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL), who is potentially set to be his future opponent in the 2022 midterm elections, as \u201cvery well involved\u201d in the select committee.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>\u201cShe\u2019s an extremely loyal, extremely reliable vote for [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi \u2014 who formed the committee,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Outside of her \u201cextreme loyalty\u201d to the Democrats\u2019 agenda, Sabatini claims the Florida Democrat was put on the committee because of her willingness to closely align with its bias.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cShe is going to go forth with the intent of the chairman and Pelosi, which is to basically create a very large, well-financed, legal operation to bring in as many people related to a potential Trump reelection into the scope of the law and potential harm of the law,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>\u201cThat\u2019s what it\u2019s all about,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to Sabatini, further evidence of the committee\u2019s \u201cdisgraceful\u201d bias can be seen by how it \u201conly included those Republicans who had a bone to pick with anybody that either supported Trump or was neutral for Trump.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The unwillingness to include any members on that committee with a \u201cdiffering point of view,\u201d he said, is something \u201cunique in the history of Congress.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s ever been a select committee like this that has said anybody who disagrees with the intention of the committee is not allowed on the committee itself,\u201d he said. \u201cThat might be a first in the history of Congress, so a total new low for Pelosi.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18071018\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"40\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Nancy-Pelosi-Stephanie-Murphy-etc-getty.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18071018\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Nancy-Pelosi-Stephanie-Murphy-etc-getty.jpg\" alt width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">U.S. Speaker of the House Rep. (Photo by Alex Wong\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>\u201cIt [also] explains Murphy\u2019s role,\u201d he added. \u201cThey\u2019re not going to put anybody on there who\u2019s not completely and totally in line with the intent of it.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Calling the new precedents being set by the committee and the DOJ a \u201cdangerous game\u201d the \u201cscandal-ridden Biden administration\u201d is playing, he cautioned that when Republicans retake control, such precedents can be utilized in the course of many legitimate investigations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThis committee creates enormous damage just in the very limited way in which it\u2019s acted,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t think this is some short term thing. So yeah, it\u2019s irreparable, they destroyed the committee process; they\u2019ve disgraced the country.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThey\u2019ve turned Congress\u2019 historically independent oversight function into a mockery,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Sabatini estimated that the initiative would continue to distract everyday citizens from real issues negatively impacting them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI personally think this thing is going to go on for two years,\u201d he added. \u201cThey\u2019re gonna ride this past the midterms because they need an outside force to draw the media\u2019s attention away from inflation and other negative effects the current administration is creating.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cBut we\u2019ll see what happens next,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Oversight:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>When asked about potential oversight of the current administration in the event that Republicans take back control of the House in 2022, the second-term Republican stated that much critical oversight of the current administration is needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>From the \u201cdeadly debacle\u201d in Afghanistan to the FBI targeting parents domestically, there are many \u201ccritical matters that require immediate oversight,\u201d he said, \u201cso we have real work to do.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Sabatini called to consider why the supposedly nonpartisan FBI is immediately prompted by the White House whenever there\u2019s a perceived political threat.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cTake parents in angst about critical race theory being taught in schools now being targeted by the Biden administration,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18250346\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"36\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/critical-race-theory-crt-parents-protest-schools-june2021-getty.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18250346\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/critical-race-theory-crt-parents-protest-schools-june2021-getty.jpg\" alt=\"People hold up signs during a rally against &quot;critical race theory&quot; (CRT) being taught in schools at the Loudoun County Government center in Leesburg, Virginia on June 12, 2021. - &quot;Are you ready to take back our schools?&quot; Republican activist Patti Menders shouted at a rally opposing anti-racism teaching that critics like her say trains white children to see themselves as &quot;oppressors.&quot; &quot;Yes!&quot;, answered in unison the hundreds of demonstrators gathered this weekend near Washington to fight against &quot;critical race theory,&quot; the latest battleground of America&#039;s ongoing culture wars. (Photo by ANDREW CABALLERO-REYNOLDS\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>\u201cWhat\u2019s the pipeline from the White House to the FBI that allows what was supposed to be a politically nonpartisan agency to immediately issue a scare letter like they did,\u201d he asked, adding there is \u201cserious stuff to investigate.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Fighting COVID \u201cTyranny\u201d:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Asked about his top priorities in Congress in the event of a 2022 congressional win, Sabatini called for an immediate end to the current \u201cCOVID tyranny.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI think Congress needs to do everything it can to end this COVID tyranny, medical apartheid that exists,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWhether it means using the oversight function to do it \u2014 just really doing everything we can to inhibit these insane executive orders,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Noting how the \u201cCOVID tyranny is still ongoing\u201d under the Biden administration, Sabatini highlighted the harm it has done thus far.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe COVID tyranny is still going on. It\u2019s disrupted the economy; it\u2019s disruptive to American liberty, due process, the rule of law; it\u2019s just everything that\u2019s happening under this lawless administration from CMS [Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services] to OSHA [Occupational Safety and Health Administration],\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cFor me, COVID tyranny is number one,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He also called for an investigation into Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation\u2019s top infectious disease expert, as well as the health body\u2019s questionable research.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe must investigate Fauci and the gain-of-function research,\u201d he said. \u201cThere\u2019s going to be some impeachments that have to be made of cabinet secretaries and high ranking officials like Fauci who are in different roles but also need to be investigated.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThat\u2019s going to be the focus,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Highlighting the urgency to \u201cget past this insane extending rolling state of emergency that they\u2019ve taken so much advantage of,\u201d he called to peer further into what \u201call these agencies\u201d \u2014 especially the DOJ \u2014 have done in the last couple of years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe DOJ, I think, is probably the most rotten to the core agency at this point,\u201d he said, \u201calong with its subdivisions, like the FBI, which have now been completely and totally weaponized against the American people,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s inexcusable.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Double Standards:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>To further illustrate his point, Sabatini suggested looking back at the response to last summer\u2019s Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cLooking back at the riots that occurred, you realize how insane that carnage and destruction was,\u201d he said. \u201cIt begs the question: why did the FBI and the DOJ do absolutely nothing towards Antifa and BLM during that period of time?\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cBut of course they\u2019ve been extremely active in haunting the lives of people on the right,\u201d he added.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He also listed prioritizing what passes for \u201cthreats\u201d as \u201cthe next big thing\u201d on his agenda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThey\u2019re trying to perpetuate myths about what the biggest threats of the country are and, of course, in their eyes, it\u2019s white supremacy,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt\u2019s not any of these \u2018woke\u2019 identity-politics-fueled acts of violence or carnage,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Border:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Calling the most important long-term issue he intends to deal with \u201cthe border\u201d and \u201cillegal immigration,\u201d Sabatini stressed the dire situation that has developed as a result of the current administration\u2019s policies on the matter.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18688866\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"40\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/GettyImages-1334002839.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18688866\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/GettyImages-1334002839.jpg\" alt width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Immigrant families walk to a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint for transport to a processing center after they crossed the U.S.-Mexico border on August 13, 2021, in La Joya, Texas.
