On August 23 of last year, police shot Blake seven times during an altercation in which they were trying to arrest him. \u201cBlake was wanted on charges that included sexual assault, and his alleged victim called 911 after he came to her residence,\u201d Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/law-and-order\/2021\/01\/05\/jacob-blake-no-charges-kenosha\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe fought police and evaded a Taser, allegedly reaching for a knife inside his car before he was shot,\u201d the report added. \u201cHe is paralyzed from the waist down; he pleaded guilty to lesser charges in November and received two years\u2019 probation in a deal with prosecutors.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Chris Hayden, the DCCC communications director, later corrected the statement, saying, \u201cWe sent out an incorrect version of our statement. Here is the corrected version.
