The president\u2019s physical included a colonoscopy, and there was a brief <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/19\/joe-biden-transfer-power-kamala-harris-routine-colonoscopy-walter-reed\/\">transfer of power<\/a> to Vice President Kamala Harris while he was under anesthesia.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kevin C. O\u2019Connor, physician to the president, issued the summary. The physical included \u201cspecialty consultation\u201d with several Presidential Specialty Consultants at the medical center, O\u2019Connor wrote in the summary.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"8.5384615384615\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@POTUS<\/a> spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VP?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@VP<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WHCOS?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@WHCOS<\/a> at approximately 11:35am this morning. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@POTUS<\/a> was in good spirits and at that time resumed his duties. He will remain at Walter Reed as he completes the rest of his routine physical.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jen Psaki (@PressSec) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PressSec\/status\/1461742012693196805?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 19, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>O\u2019Connor highlighted two \u201cobservations\u201d that Biden \u201caffirmed.\u201d The first is Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/25\/maskless-biden-coughs-shakes-hands\/\">tendency<\/a> of \u201c\u2018throat clearing&#8217;\u201d and coughing during speaking engagements. Psaki has been asked about what appears to be a persistent <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/03\/15\/joe-biden-coronavirus-debate-cough\/\">cough<\/a> in the past and concerns have been waved away. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/03\/24\/jake-tapper-joe-biden-cough-cnn-coronavirus\/\">(RELATED:&nbsp;Jake Tapper Has To Show Biden How To Properly Cough During Awkward CNN Interview)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has exhibited such symptoms for as long as I have known him, but they certainly seem to be more frequent and more pronounced over the last few months,\u201d according to O\u2019Connor. \u201cIt is acknowledged that this perception may be artificially confounded by the undeniable fact that, as President, a much greater attention is directed toward his public engagements as compared to that which he experienced in previous conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNevertheless, this symptom is clearly present, and warranted detailed investigation,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n<p>The second observation was about <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/17\/joe-biden-morning-consult-politico-poll-donald-trump\/\">Biden\u2019s<\/a> gait, which the doctor described as being \u201cnoticeably stiffer and less fluid than it was a year or so ago.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The summary noted that Biden \u201cworks out at least five days per week\u201d and put him at 184 pounds. Biden suffers from \u201ca-fib with normal ventricular response, hyperlipidemia, gastroesophageal reflux, seasonal allergies, spinal arthritis and mild sensory peripheral neuropathy of both feet,\u201d according to the summary.<\/p>\n<p>He takes three prescription medications and two over-the-counter medications for his \u201cmedical considerations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s physical comes amid lackluster approval ratings.
