Regarding O\u2019Keefe, 67 percent&nbsp;believe his prosecution is politically motivated, and 38 percent of Democrats believe that.<\/p>\n<div class readability=\"6\">\n<div id=\"attachment_5298942\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" readability=\"32\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/James-OKeefe-getty.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5298942\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/James-OKeefe-getty.jpg\" alt=\"O&#039;keefe\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">James O\u2019Keefe (Chip Somodevilla\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Former White House senior counselor to President Donald Trump and one-time executive chairman of Breitbart News, Steve Bannon, is under DOJ&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/17\/report-steve-bannon-to-plead-not-guilty-to-criminal-contempt-charges\/\">prosecution<\/a>&nbsp;for failing to turn over subpoenaed documents and appear before the partisan January 6 congressional committee.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6018922\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" readability=\"32\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Donald-Trump-Steve-Bannon-Stephen-K-Bannon-White-House-Jan-2017-Swearing-in-Getty.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6018922\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Donald-Trump-Steve-Bannon-Stephen-K-Bannon-White-House-Jan-2017-Swearing-in-Getty.jpg\" alt=\"trump bannon influential\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">MANDEL NGAN\/AFP\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In Bannon\u2019s presumable effort to draw out the case and fight back, his lawyers reportedly asked U.S. District Court Judge Carl Nichols on Thursday to delay the case until 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The judge denied the request \u201cbut said he\u2019s not convinced yet that the Justice Department\u2019s timetable is realistic either,\u201d <em>Politico<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/11\/18\/judge-rejects-steve-bannon-delay-effort-522948\">reported<\/a>. The next hearing is set for December 7.<\/p>\n<p>If Bannon is fully convicted, he reportedly could spend a year in prison and receive a fine of up to $100,000.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,&nbsp;James O\u2019Keefe, founder of Project Veritas, an investigative media organization, has been a target of the FBI.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>O\u2019Keefe was reportedly handcuffed Saturday outside his New York apartment while FBI agents raided his home in a reported search for evidence about an alleged diary of Ashley Biden, Biden\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI reportedly seized two cell phones Saturday in relation to an investigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProject Veritas says it was given the diary by two individuals last year and chose not to publish it because its authenticity couldn\u2019t be verified, then handed it over to law enforcement,\u201d the <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/the-fbis-raid-on-james-okeefe-project-veritas-department-of-justice-merrick-garland-11637091882\">reported<\/a>. \u201cThe diary was later published by an obscure website.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Upon obtaining the diary, Project Veritas alleged the diary was not stolen.
