The kidnapping took place soon after authorities arrested the cartel leader\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n<p>The case began this week in Zapopan, Jalisco, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/border\/2021\/11\/16\/mexican-army-arrests-wife-of-top-narco-terrorist\/\">where authorities arrested Rosalinda Gonzalez Valencia, the wife of Nemesio \u201cEl Mencho\u201d Oseguera Cervantes<\/a>. She remains in a federal prison without bond.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Soon after that arrest, information began to trickle about kidnapped marines. The case appears to be indirectly linked to the arrest, since the two naval officers were reportedly mistaken for intelligence operators when in fact they were driving by the area, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.proceso.com.mx\/nacional\/estados\/2021\/11\/17\/desaparicion-de-marinos-en-zapopan-esta-ligada-detencion-de-esposa-de-el-mencho-275963.html\"><em>Proceso<\/em><\/a> revealed.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>In the aftermath of the kidnapping, federal authorities carried out raids targeting relatives of the Oseguera Cervantes clan and other leaders of CJNG to locate the missing troops.
