My goal is to keep every employee and to keep every employee safe,\u201d Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Los Angeles mandated all city employees receive the jab no later than December 18th or get an approved exemption.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/abc7.com\/los-angeles-vaccine-mandate-employees-la-city-eric-garcetti\/11250398\/\">ABC7<\/a> notes:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"11\">\n<p>Until then, unvaccinated employees have to submit to two COVID-19 tests per week, and $65 per test will be deducted from their paychecks. Employees have to get tested during their free time, and testing has to be conducted by the city or a vendor of the city\u2019s choosing. Third-party tests will not be allowed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt may cost us some money up front but it has cost us a lot of money to lose people to COVID when they\u2019re out. That has cost us arguably even more,\u201d the mayor added.<\/p>\n<p>Last month,&nbsp;Garcetti <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2021\/10\/los-angeles-garcetti-employees-refuse-covid-vaccination-lose-job-1234859144\/\">warned<\/a> that&nbsp;city employees who defy the restrictions \u201cshould be prepared to lose their job.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15953274\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"40\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-15953274\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Eric-Garcetti-Getty.jpg\" alt=\"Eric Garcetti (Patrick T.
