That\u2019s what we\u2019ve been pressing on. I don\u2019t have any more to read out for you from the meeting,\u201d Psaki responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re saying that it\u2019s clear. Is it clear to somebody who has a Zoom meeting with the President that that\u2019s what he means, if that\u2019s not what he says?\u201d Doocy pressed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the President has spoken publicly on this a number of times. Our national security officials have conveyed very clearly. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s a secret, that\u2019s what we want. That\u2019s what we\u2019ve been pressing for,\u201d Psaki said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The U.S. and our allies have pushed for a more thorough investigation of the origins of COVID-19 in Wuhan as evidence has continued to mount indicating the disease may have leaked out the Wuhan coronavirus lab. The World Health Organization <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/12\/peter-ben-embarek-china-covid-lab-leak-who\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sent a team to China<\/a> to investigate the origins in late January, but Chinese authorities did not allow them to do their own research, relying instead on data and samples collected by Chinese scientists.<\/p>\n<p>China has been in Washington\u2019s spotlight since Monday\u2019s meeting. Biden also <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/18\/biden-boycott-beijing-olympics-china\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">confirmed Thursday<\/a> that the U.S. is \u201cconsidering\u201d a diplomatic boycott of the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games over China\u2019s various human rights abuses. The Biden administration has repeatedly condemned what China\u2019s ongoing genocide of Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang as well as the overthrow of democracy in Hong Kong. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/30\/state-department-human-rights-report-china-genocide-uyghurs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: State Department Releases Report Blasting China For Its Genocide Against The Uighurs)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The abuses have led to an outcry from human rights groups calling for the U.S. and other countries to fully boycott the games. The Department of State&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/06\/joe-biden-winter-olympics-rick-scott-beijing-state-department\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said in April<\/a>&nbsp;that a full boycott is not off the table, but the White House now appears to be leaning toward a lighter rebuke in the diplomatic boycott.<\/p>\n<p>Psaki clarified later in the briefing that Biden\u2019s consideration of a partial Olympic boycott is not a commentary on how Monday\u2019s meeting went, however.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u201cIt doesn\u2019t say anything about the meeting,\u201d Psaki said when questioned on the issue. \u201cThey didn\u2019t talk about the Olympics during the meeting; it wasn\u2019t a topic that was discussed during the meeting.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"ob-read-more-selector\" readability=\"14\">\n<p>\u201cThere are areas that we do have concerns.
