Martin tweeted that the man wasn\u2019t him.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Social media users have been sharing a video of an older man wearing glasses cuddling with and taking pictures of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.akc.org\/dog-breeds\/dachshund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dachshund<\/a> on a bench, claiming it shows Martin with his dog. One Twitter user <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/germanbini\/status\/1460147854526361601?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">commented<\/a> about the video: \u201cAn adorable candid video of Steven Martin with a dachshund.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the man in the video shares some physical resemblance to Martin, he is not the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt12851524\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Only Murders in the Building<\/a>\u201d star. Through a reverse image search of key frames, Check Your Fact found the video was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@sarahccx\/video\/6942131896306404613?lang=en&amp;is_copy_url=1&amp;is_from_webapp=v1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">originally posted<\/a> on TikTok by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@sarahccx?lang=en&amp;is_copy_url=1&amp;is_from_webapp=v1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">user @sarahccx<\/a>.&nbsp;In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@sarahccx\/video\/6942131896306404613?lang=en&amp;is_copy_url=1&amp;is_from_webapp=v1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">original video<\/a>, there is a caption that says, \u201cDADS WITH THE DOGS THEY SAY THEY DIDN\u2019T WANT.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@sarahccx\/video\/7010472993977634054\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u201cpart two\u201d<\/a> on TikTok, where it is clear the man in the video is not Martin.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/09\/01\/fact-check-dogs-left-behind-us-afghanistan-kabul\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Here\u2019s What We Know About The Working Dogs Allegedly Left Behind By The US In Afghanistan)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The video appeared to grab Martin\u2019s attention on Twitter this week, as he <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SteveMartinToGo\/status\/1460235591241674752\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">quote-tweeted<\/a> a version on Nov. 15, saying, \u201cI am relieved to find out this is not me.
