(Photo by Alex Wong\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 5:32 PM PT \u2013 Wednesday, November 17, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>Steve Bannon pleaded not guilty to contempt of Congress charges and waived formal arraignment.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Bannon surrendered himself to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), but was released hours later on conditional restrictions. Bannon faces two misdemeanor charges in connection with refusing to comply with a congressional subpoena from the House Select Committee on Jan. 6.<\/p>\n<p>Bannon was heard outside the courthouse on Monday saying he is \u201ctaking on the Biden regime.\u201d \u201cThis is going to be a misdemeanor from hell for Merrick Garland, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Steve Bannon pleads not guilty to contempt of Congress charges and waives arraignment scheduled for tomorrow.
