The arrangement was terminated last Friday by a Los Angeles judge, the outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/live-updates\/britney-spears-conservatorship-hearing-2021-11-12\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Since this news broke, social media users have been sharing a screenshot of a purported New York Times article claiming the judge also ruled that the singer is now allowed to commit crimes. \u201cJudge Rules That Britney Spears Is Allowed to Commit Crimes,\u201d reads the purported headline, written in The New York Time\u2019s distinct font.<\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact searched The New York Times\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/search?query=britney+spears\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>, however, and did not find any article with that headline.
