It seems that today we [Spain] are the country that is least affected by the virus and I think it is because we have a large part of the population vaccinated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nadal ended his 2021 season in August due to an injury to his left foot, which has been an issue for him for the past year. He is planning on playing in the 2022 Australian Open.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy plan is to play Abu Dhabi in December and then in a tournament before Australia and then the Australian Open,\u201d Nadal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/au\/tennis\/news\/rafael-nadal-reveals-australian-open-status-after-injury-ravaged-year\/1xxyu5xfsh5up1o1wh9rp2rxbh\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The COVID-19 rules for the tournament will have a large impact on the world\u2019s number one player \u2014 Novak Djokovic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Djokovic has not stated whether or not he is vaccinated, and recently said that he\u2019s unsure whether he will travel to Australia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, I\u2019m going to decide on whether I go to Australia or not after I see the official statement from Tennis Australia,\u201d Djokovic said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight now, we don\u2019t have any official announcement or statement.
