Pfizer\u2019s testing has reportedly found that its 5-day treatment course of 30 pills has reduced risk of hospitalization and death by 89% for those who started the treatment within 3 days of exhibiting COVID symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>The White House deal, which reportedly has yet to be finalized, will purchase roughly 3.1 million courses of Merck\u2019s treatment for $2.2 billion, and 10 million courses of Pfizer\u2019s treatment for roughly $5 billion. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/09\/pfizer-vaccine-misinformation-meme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: \u2018Don\u2019t Worry \u2026 Science Has Got Your Back\u2019: Pfizer Gets Dragged For \u2018Creepy\u2019 Meme On Vaccine \u2018Misinformation\u2019)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7320613\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"33\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7320613\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">President Joe Biden reacts as he delivers remarks on the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal on Nov. 6. The pills increase the effective duration of the COVID pills. Merck\u2019s treatment, however, relies on inserting defective genetic information into COVID-19 viruses, preventing them from reproducing.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration has previously approved Pfizer\u2019s vaccine treatments for adults and children as young as 12. The FDA is also expected to approve Pfizer\u2019s vaccine booster shot for everyone over the age of 18.<\/p>\n<p>The White House has maintained that the most effective means of combating COVID-19 is vaccines, however. The Biden administration\u2019s vaccine mandate for companies employing more than 100 workers has <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/16\/12-states-sue-biden-administration-vaccine-mandate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">run into staunch opposition<\/a> on the state level.<\/p>\n<p>More than a dozen states have filed lawsuits to block the mandate, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/06\/fifth-circuit-federal-court-temporarily-blocks-bidens-vaccine-mandate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">halted<\/a> the administration\u2019s rule on November 6 pending litigation. The administration remains confident it will enforce the rule, however.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe U.S. Department of Labor is confident in its legal authority to issue the emergency temporary standard on vaccination and testing.
