Treasurer Moore is also encouraging West Virginia\u2019s Senators to oppose Omarova\u2019s nomination, should her confirmation be brought up for a vote.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Omarova has proposed creating a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/prospect.org\/economy\/public-investment-reimagined-a-national-investment-authority\/\">National Investment Authority\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;to address climate change and other liberal social issues because she believes \u2018greedy Wall Street\u2019 hasn\u2019t done enough to stop investments in fossil fuels.<\/p>\n<p>Treasurer Moore, who has already led a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wvtreasury.com\/About-The-Office\/Press-Releases\/ID\/352\/Treasurer-Moore-Leads-Coalition-of-15-State-Treasurers-to-Oppose-John-Kerry-Biden-Administration-Attacks-on-the-Fossil-Fuel-Industry\">coalition<\/a> of 15 state Treasurers to oppose previous Biden administration attempts to eliminate investment in the fossil fuel industry, said he will strongly encourage West Virginia\u2019s Senators to speak out and vote against Omarova\u2019s nomination.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe nomination of Saule Omarova to be our nation\u2019s top banking regulator is just the latest salvo in this administration\u2019s war on American energy and our financial freedoms,\u201d Moore said in the news report. \u201cWe cannot allow control of our nation\u2019s banking industry to fall to someone who has openly declared she wants to bankrupt West Virginia\u2019s coal and natural gas industries.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"10\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Biden nominee Saule Omarova saying the quiet part out loud.
