Igloo will also have to change its hiring policies to ensure it seeks out Americans for jobs while being monitored for three years by the DOJ.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Every year, businesses are allowed to import 66,000 H-2B foreign visa workers to take blue-collar, non-agricultural jobs in the U.S. Former President Donald Trump\u2019s administration&nbsp;routinely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/03\/05\/dhs-secretary-chad-wolf-approves-35k-h-2b-foreign-workers-to-take-u-s-jobs\/\">brought<\/a>&nbsp;in additional H-2B foreign visa workers for whom business could hire, and President Joe Biden\u2019s administration is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/04\/20\/bidens-dhs-giving-business-22k-more-foreign-workers-as-16-6m-americans-are-jobless\/\">doing<\/a> the same.<\/p>\n<p>The H-2B visa program has been widely used by businesses to drag down the wages of American workers in&nbsp;landscaping, conservation work, the&nbsp;meatpacking industry, the construction industry, and fishing jobs, a 2019&nbsp;study&nbsp;from the Center for Immigration Studies&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/cis.org\/Report\/Impact-H2B-Guestworkers-2018?&amp;utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=social-media&amp;utm_campaign=addtoany\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">finds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When comparing the wages of H-2B foreign workers to the national wage average for each blue-collar industry, about 21 out of 25 of the industries offered lower wages to foreign workers than Americans.<\/p>\n<p>Annually, the U.S. gives green cards to about 1.2 million legal immigrants while another 1.4 million foreign workers&nbsp;are <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.epi.org\/publication\/temporary-foreign-workers-by-the-numbers-new-estimates-by-visa-classification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">admitted<\/a>&nbsp;every year to take American jobs.<\/p>\n<p><em>John Binder is a reporter for Breitbart News.
