Anthony Gonzalez (R-OH) criticized former President Donald Trump over his role in the January 6 Capitol riot.<\/p>\n<p>Gonzalez, one of 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Trump, called Trump a \u201cpolitical loser.\u201d He added that the former president led the country \u201cinto a ditch\u201d and \u201clied.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe have to be a party of ideas. We have to be a party of truth, and the cold hard truth is Donald Trump led us into a ditch on January 6,\u201d Gonzalez outlined. \u201cThe former president lied to us. He lied to every one of us. And in doing so, he cost us the House, the Senate and the White House.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>He continued, \u201cI see, fundamentally, a person who shouldn\u2019t be able to hold office again because of what he did around January 6, but I also see somebody who is an enormous political loser. I don\u2019t know why anybody who wants to win elections going forward would follow that. I simply, like \u2014 I don\u2019t get it ethically. I certainly don\u2019t get it politically.
