The child even made an appearance alongside Gov. DeSantis on \u201cFox &amp; Friends\u201d earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not wearing a mask because you touch it, and you have germs on your hand,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/ron-desantis-florida-school-board-second-grader-suspended-mask\">said<\/a> on-air. \u201cAnd then you put it on your face and breathe in all the germs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The girl\u2019s mother, Bailey Lashells, said her daughter complained about masking when she was forced to wear one last year, saying the mask was making her tired, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palmbeachpost.com\/story\/news\/education\/2021\/11\/14\/fiona-lashells-returns-school-after-being-suspended-over-masks\/6281869001\/\">report<\/a> from The Palm Beach Post outlined. After the mandate was repealed, Lashells told Fiona she never had to wear a mask again.
