The GOP flipped multiple row offices in populous Bucks County, carried a state Supreme Court race there, and even came close to winning seats on the county council in Delaware County, where Biden romped by nearly 30 points in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Pennsylvania will be home to highly competitive House, Senate and gubernatorial races in next year\u2019s midterm elections \u2014 and the GOP\u2019s local comeback here shows that Democrats\u2019 newfound shakiness among suburban voters reaches far deeper than one or two states.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>From April to October, Biden\u2019s approval rating fell 14 points among suburban voters in Pennsylvania, according to surveys by Morning Consult. Biden\u2019s favorability saw similar drops in the swing states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, North Carolina and Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s suburban fade is no small matter. The big margins produced by the suburban Philadelphia counties of Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, and Chester \u2014 where Biden outperformed Hillary Clinton \u2014 allowed him to win the state back from Trump in 2020.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Politico<\/em> suggests that Democrats can take heart from the fact that Trump will be more difficult for Republicans to ignore in the 2022 midterm elections, where he is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/13\/ttrump-attacks-sellout-republicans-demands-they-face-primary-challengers\/\">encouraging<\/a> primary challenges to moderate incumbents, and the 20204 presidential election, when he is presumably going to run again.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>However, Trump is also a strong motivating force for the Republican base, and many of his policies have been vindicated by Biden\u2019s poor performance in office.<\/p>\n<p><em>Joel B.
