The consumer division, which generates $15 billion in revenue a year, will operate independently in the next 18 to 24 months. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/25\/johnson-johnson-reports-nine-fold-increase-of-antibodies-after-booster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Johnson &amp; Johnson Reports Nine-Fold Increase Of Antibodies After Booster)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing a comprehensive review, the Board and management team believe that the planned separation of the Consumer Health business is the best way to accelerate our efforts to serve patients, consumers, and healthcare professionals, create opportunities for our talented global team, drive profitable growth, and \u2013 most importantly \u2013 improve healthcare outcomes for people around the world,\u201d chief executive Alex Gorsky said in the press release.<\/p>\n<p>The segment selling prescription drugs and medical devices will keep the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/14\/johnson-johnson-sunscreens-benzene-cancer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">J&amp;J<\/a>&nbsp;name while the consumer health company has not yet been named, according to the press release.
