Dhillon (@pnjaban) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pnjaban\/status\/1458904181540995079?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 11, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The DOJ has O\u2019Keefe\u2019s phone and other data following an FBI&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/the-media\/2021\/11\/07\/fbi-raids-james-okeefes-house-over-ashley-biden-diary\/\">raid<\/a> earlier this month of O\u2019Keefe\u2019s New York home, ostensibly looking for information related to the alleged theft of a diary belonging to Ashley Biden, President Joe Biden\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Keefe said at the time that Project Veritas was provided with the diary by another source, but decided not to use any of the information contained therein, and contacted law enforcement. It is unclear why the FBI conducted the raid, and critics have pointed out that the government\u2019s actions could also be an attempt to suppress an opposition-minded journalist.<\/p>\n<p>A \u201cspecial master\u201d would be a court-appointed official who would review the data on O\u2019Keefe\u2019s phone to ensure that none of it involves privileged material that generally cannot be used by the government, such as communications from O\u2019Keefe to his attorneys.<\/p>\n<p>A similar \u201cspecial master\u201d was appointed to review materials seized from Michael Cohen, a former lawyer to President Donald Trump, when his home and office were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2018\/04\/09\/fbi-raids-trump-lawyer-michael-cohens-office-in-new-york\/\">raided<\/a> in 2018 by the FBI partly at the direction of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cspecial master\u201d would not necessarily stop the DOJ from using information on O\u2019Keefe\u2019s phone, but limit its access.<\/p>\n<p><em>Joel B.
