The discussion began with a clip of Scott addressing his relationship status with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade. Scott mentioned that he was seeing a nice, Christian woman and assured Kilmeade that the public would eventually meet her.
Immediately after the clip, co-host Joy Behar asked, “What is he hiding?”
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin accused Kilmeade of “single-shaming” Scott, drawing parallels to her own mother’s experience before meeting her husband.
Co-host Sunny Hostin argued that it was important to know who Scott might be involved with, emphasizing the potential influence a partner could have. She referenced former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt and suggested that the public deserved to know if Scott’s partner was a ”lunatic.” Hostin also mentioned a report questioning the existence of Scott’s girlfriend.

However, Goldberg disagreed and argued that even someone running for president should be entitled to privacy.
“I don’t care. This is the issue, and it’s a big issue in the country,” Goldberg asserted. “Why is my private life of so much interest to you that you can’t get past the fact that I may not be interested in being married? I might not want a spouse. That doesn’t mean I can’t do the job.”
Goldberg highlighted the fact that there have been presidents in the past who were not married. She emphasized that it is more crucial to focus on a candidate’s policies and their impact on the entire country rather than delving into their dating life.
