West Wing ‘weenie-wokers’ controlled Biden: Book
the article discusses a new book by Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) that criticizes the team around president Joe Biden, blaming them for steering his presidency in a negative direction. Kennedy dismisses popular theories that Biden’s wife Jill Biden, son Hunter biden, or former President Obama controlled the president.Rather, he points fingers at Biden’s staff, whom he labels as “weenie-wokers”-liberal aides out of touch with everyday Americans and overly focused on woke politics.
Kennedy portrays these aides as moralistic, neosocialist, and snobbish individuals who believed they alone could change America. He highlights their privileged lifestyles and mocks their attitudes and habits, such as carrying kale in Ziploc bags. He specifically criticizes Biden’s national security team, including Jake Sullivan and Antony Blinken, for what he sees as a weak diplomatic approach towards hostile foreign leaders.
The senator describes how Biden’s staff exert notable control over his messaging, referring to the president as essentially controlled by whoever manages the teleprompter. Kennedy expresses confidence that the American people will ultimately reject this brand of politics and alleges that opposing Biden’s team has been a key focus of his Senate work heading into the 2024 election.
West Wing ‘weenie-wokers’ controlled Biden: Book
Forget the theories that former first lady Jill Biden was the iron fist behind her husband, former President Joe Biden. Ditto for the controlling hand of bumbling first son Hunter. And throw in former President Barack Obama, too.
That’s because we have a new book from a Washington insider who thinks he’s nailed who steered Biden’s presidency into a ditch.
According to Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA), it was Biden’s long-serving B-team.
“In Washington, you’re only as good as the people around you. And Joe Biden’s staff, filled as it was with tofu-eating woke-arati, who were convinced of their superior intellect and values, did plenty,” Kennedy wrote in the forthcoming book, How to Test Negative for Stupid: And Why Washington Never Will.
In his book, out Tuesday, the influential senator known for his comical analysis of key political figures offered a damning takedown of Biden’s staff as liberal “weenie-wokers” out of touch with everyday Americans.
With phrases that live up to his reputation as Washington’s most quotable senator since the late Sen. Alan Simpson (R-WY), Kennedy indicated that Biden was doomed from the start because of those around him.
“Inside them were neosocialists just begging to get out. They were bizarre. They were one-dimensional. They said the word existential a lot. They were moral snobs. Their attitude seemed to be that everything in America is poisoned and everything in America needs to change. And they, with their infallible instincts, believed they were just the ones to change it,” he wrote in the book published by Broadside Books, part of HarperCollins Publishers.
Kennedy saw many of those aides up close, having spent time with Biden in the White House despite his criticism of the president.
What he witnessed were stereotypical Washington liberals, according to excerpts provided to Washington Secrets.
“I’ve always preferred the term weenie-wokers. I believe this more precisely captures just how aggressive and prissy many of them were,” he wrote.
“Many lived in Georgetown condos with high ceilings and important art on the walls. They have summer homes with long driveways. In their NPR totebags, they carried around Ziploc bags of kale to give them energy. (To me, kale tastes like I’d rather be fat. I think the best way to prepare it is with olive oil; that way, it slides more easily off the plate and into the garbage can),” he wrote.
Two of Biden’s top national security aides got special attention from Kennedy as he hit the Democrats’ wimpy foreign policy.
“A telling example,” he wrote, “is Jake Sullivan, Biden’s national security advisor. He and Secretary of State Antony Blinken strained not to offend anyone, including our enemies. They believed exclusively in diplomacy — that a hug and a cup of hot cocoa could solve any problem in, say, the Middle East. ‘Love is the answer at any cost’ was their mantra, even with hard men like Putin, Xi Jinping, and Iran’s ayatollah, who want to kill us and hurt us the entire time we’re dying.”
Just as they captured Biden’s autopen, Kennedy said White House staff controlled Biden’s words. “One should not underestimate their influence on the president,” he wrote, adding, “the American people saw what you and I saw. Many times, constituents in Louisiana asked me who the real president was. ‘Whoever is in charge of the teleprompter,’ I would reply.”
A strong supporter of President Donald Trump, Kennedy said that he had faith that the public would eventually grow tired of Biden and his team for pushing woke politics, including approving men competing as women in college sports.
“I was always pretty sure during these years that the American people would eventually reject this baloney blizzard,” he wrote in the chapter titled “Holding the line.”
He wrote, “I was pretty sure they would get tired of being told they had to hate George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Dr. Seuss, and Mr. Potato Head because they were racist. This stuff might have been acceptable in Washington, D.C., but it was not normal to the majority of Americans.”

And, he added, fighting Biden and his staff became one of his jobs in the Senate until the 2024 election, though hope the public would reject Biden and his hand-picked successor, then-Vice President Kamala Harris, wasn’t enough. “That didn’t mean I could just sit around, work on my bills, and do nothing until we got either a Republican in the White House or a Republican Congress. That’s just not me. So I raised every variety of hell I could think of,” he explained.
