Shocking Video Shows Rand Paul⁢ Staffer ⁤Brutally Stabbed in Washington, D.C.

Video footage emerged on Tuesday showing⁤ the moment that a staffer for Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) was⁤ brutally stabbed in ​Democrat-controlled Washington, D.C.

The Washington Post obtained the ⁣footage⁣ of Glynn Neal allegedly attacking Phillip Todd back in March after Todd left a restaurant with a friend.

Todd and ⁤his friend were walking ⁤out of ​the frame of the ⁢video when ‍the suspect ‍charges in and tackles Todd ⁢to the ground ⁤and‌ begins repeatedly stabbing him.

“What the ​f***,” a ​voice on ⁣camera says before Todd’s friend ‌rushes in to get the suspect‌ off of him. The two men then⁤ run away⁢ as the suspect gets up and leaves in the opposite direction.

Neal was charged ⁤ with assault ⁤with intent to kill using a‍ knife,⁢ a felony. Court records indicate that ⁢Neal was released from ‍federal prison roughly 24‍ hours before the​ attack.

Neal remains in jail while continuing to undergo “a series of psychological evaluations before his next court appearance in⁤ September” after he was deemed unfit to​ stand trial,‍ according to Fox ​29.

“As⁣ the parents of ⁤Phillip ⁢Todd, we⁣ would like to ‍give an update on our ⁢son’s condition, which will⁢ hopefully answer many of the questions we’ve received,” Todd’s ⁤parents said back in March‍ after the attack. “In return, ⁤we ask to respect our privacy ⁤and the privacy of our extended‍ family so that we can focus⁢ on our son’s recovery.”

“He ⁣was randomly and brutally attacked by a person ⁤armed with a knife, who, according to the police report, attempted to⁢ kill him,” they continued. “The‌ intervention of our son’s friend helped prevent the wounds ⁢from being fatal. Our son⁢ is in a⁣ stable condition, having undergone trauma surgery to address the wounds in his body.⁢ He‌ also has a ‍fracture on his skull, which ⁣will be treated⁢ with non-invasive ⁤neurosurgery. He is​ expected to make a⁣ full recovery due to his ⁣young age and good health. ⁤Our son and our ⁣family draw strength from our faith to see us through this challenging time.⁢ Phillip is⁤ conscious and‌ alert and has ‍repeatedly stated, ‘the joy of the ⁣Lord ⁢is my strength’ (Nehemiah 8:10).”
