Republican‌ presidential ⁣candidate Nikki Haley criticized President Joe Biden’s administration for their approach towards China.⁤ In an ​interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Haley expressed her frustration with ⁢the continuous visits of cabinet officials to China, which she deemed as an attempt to appease the Communist regime.

Questionable⁢ Cabinet Visits

Over the summer, four members⁢ of Biden’s cabinet ⁤visited China, engaging with Xi‍ Jinping and ‌other ⁤Chinese officials. Secretary of State Antony⁤ Blinken emphasized that the United States does not support Taiwanese‌ independence ⁣during his visit​ in June. In July, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen briefed Xi on upcoming sanctions, and Biden’s climate czar John Kerry praised China’s climate efforts. Despite reports of her emails being⁣ hacked, ⁣Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo visited China⁣ in August.

Haley’s criticism comes as Biden ‍denies any intention to contain‌ China⁢ during a ​press conference in Vietnam. The Chinese regime’s mouthpiece, the Global Times,⁢ characterized ​Biden’s visit ⁣as a mere “symbolic gesture.”
