Dr. Mehmet Oz will stand before the Senate Finance Committee for his confirmation hearing to be administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services on Friday.
TRACKING WHAT DOGE IS DOING ACROSS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
Democrats are expected to question Oz about his tax filings. He is accused of using a tax loophole to underpay his taxes by thousands of dollars on Medicare. Republicans will ask him how he plans to go along with the Department of Government Efficiency’s priorities.
Oz ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania in 2022, losing against Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA).
