WATCH: Hillary Clinton trolls Clarence Thomas over ‘retiring’ and mocks Melania Trump

Hillary Clinton poked fun at several well-known politicians and conservatives, particularly trolling former first lady Melania Trump and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for controversial news stories that emerged over the summer.

In an interview with TV host Andy Cohen, the former secretary of state and 2016 presidential candidate was asked what her hypothetical questions would be for well-known figures if they were a guest on her Gutsy documentary series. Among these hypothetical guests were figures such as Thomas and Trump, whom Clinton did not hold back on what questions she would ask.

“How’s your summer going?” Clinton said she would ask Trump, followed by “Don’t you want to retire?” targeted toward Thomas.

Clinton’s answers elicited laughter from the hosts and the audience as they mentioned other possible guests, such as Harry Styles and Beyonce.

Clinton’s hypothetical questions come after several months of news stories that have prompted scrutiny toward the Trump family, including the FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home as part of an investigation in relation to whether he violated the Espionage Act.

The FBI recovered hundreds of classified documents from the Mar-a-Lago residence, with at least one of those sets of documents being designated with the highest level of classification. In a bombshell filing released at the end of August, the DOJ pointed to evidence that government records were likely “concealed and removed” in order to “obstruct the government’s investigation.”

Thomas has also faced controversial headlines due to actions by his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Thomas, who sent several text messages to Mark Meadows, who was the White House chief of staff, after the 2020 election that pushed him to aid in overturning the results, according to copies of texts obtained by multiple outlets in March.

Ginni Thomas had also sent emails to at least 29 Republican lawmakers in Arizona urging them to “choose” new electors to reverse former President Donald Trump’s loss, according to emails obtained by the Washington Post.

Those revelations prompted several Democrats to call on Clarence Thomas to recuse himself from any cases related to the Capitol riot, with others calling on the justice to retire.
