The clip shows Storm standing in the plane’s center aisle. The flight attendant tells the singer to “sit down” and “be quiet,” but she does not comply, saying she’s “charting right now” and reminding him that the seat belt sign is off.
“I just found out I’m up for two Grammys. My very first time, you guys,” Storm tells the other passengers.
“I sing for the Lord and my song is out on all platforms and is called ‘We Can’t Forget Him.’ I wanna share this with you, guys,” she says as a few people applaud.
The crew member again tells Storm to be quiet, but she insists the other passengers are “enjoying it.”
“Well, I’m not enjoying it. I’m asking you, can you please be quiet?” the crew member replies.
“Am I gonna go to jail if I don’t?” Storm asks.
He repeats the question, asking if she is “willing and able to be quiet right now.”
“I’m doing what the Lord is telling me to do,” she says.
The flight attendant repeats, “I need you to follow my instructions. My instructions are for you to answer my question. Are you able to be quiet right now?”
Storm replies by asking the other passengers, “What do you guys think?”
“OK, if you’re not able to follow my instructions, you will not be taking this flight,” he says.
Storm relents, saying, “If that’s the case, then that’s fine. If you’re the person in charge of it all … then that’s fine.”
Next, she turns to the person sitting next to her and says, ”I’ll sing it on a low for y’all in the back, if that’s OK. The song is called ‘We Can’t Forget Him.’”

Storm is part of the gospel group Maverick City Music. They earned nominations for both Best Gospel Album and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
Several respondents on social media called out the singer for her “entitled” behavior.
“This is one of the most egotistical things I’ve ever seen. You think because you’re Grammy nominated that rules don’t apply to you and the plane is your stage? Work on that ego sis,” one of the top Instagram comments on the video says.
“You were completely in the wrong, and I hope you ended up on the no fly list,” a second person agreed.
“This was not about glorifying God. You were engaging in attention seeking behavior and performative Christianity. This was all ego,” another agreed.
Another chimed in, “No one wants to hear u sing out loud on a public flight. Rude and entitled.”
In a follow-up video, Storm claimed that “Delta executive offices did reach out” to her to apologize. “There was no rules being broken. It was just me spreading my joy with people after they gave me the go to do so,” she said. Storm insisted she didn’t want the crew member fired, but did wish he learned a lesson. “I just hope that if he watches this, he’s able to learn a valuable lesson on how to treat other people,” she said, encouraging viewers to stream her music.
What are some arguments against Bobbi Storm’s spontaneous performance on the Delta flight?
T,” the crew member states firmly.
Although the video ends at this point, Storm shared on social media that she eventually complied with the crew member’s instructions and was allowed to remain on the flight. She expressed her gratitude to her fellow passengers for their support and apologized for any inconvenience she may have caused.
This incident has caused quite a stir on social media, with people expressing their opinions on both sides. Some praised Storm for standing up for herself and for using her voice to share her accomplishments and message of faith. They admired her bravery and passion and believed that she should have been allowed to continue singing. Others, however, felt that Storm was being disruptive and disrespectful to the flight crew and other passengers. They argued that there is a time and place for everything and that a crowded airplane is not the appropriate setting for a spontaneous performance.
In response to the incident, Delta Airlines released a statement emphasizing the importance of maintaining a peaceful and respectful environment on their flights. They stated that while they appreciate individual expression, it must be done within the boundaries set by their crew members for the safety and comfort of all passengers. They also mentioned that they are conducting an internal review of the incident to ensure that proper protocols were followed.
This altercation between Bobbi Storm and a Delta flight crew member raises questions about the balance between personal expression and the rules and regulations that govern public spaces. While it is important to celebrate and share our achievements and talents, we must also be mindful of the impact our actions may have on those around us. Finding the appropriate time and place to express ourselves is crucial, especially in sensitive and confined settings like an airplane.
As this incident continues to spark debates and discussions, it serves as a reminder for everyone to be considerate and respectful of others, even in situations where we might feel compelled to share our stories and talents. Ultimately, it is through understanding and empathy that we can create a harmonious and inclusive society.
