White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told CNN’s Jake Tapper this week that “it is ⁣hard for us to keep up with⁣ this president,” after⁣ Tapper asked her about President Joe Biden’s age. The 80-year-old president’s behavior leaves a different impression.

The Senior⁣ Moments Keep Adding Up

As the Washington Free Beacon has catalogued‍ in its “Biden’s Senior Moment ‌of ⁤the Week” series, the president regularly struggles to find the right words, figure out where he’s going, and remain upright.

Jean-Pierre isn’t the ‌first Democrat​ to insist ⁢Biden is full of vigor. Sen. ‍Chris Coons (D., Del.), who serves as the ⁢co-chair of Biden’s reelection campaign, ​in April claimed that ⁢he, not⁢ Biden, was usually the one struggling ‌to remember facts. Coons called Biden “fit, capable, and ⁣ready to serve​ another term.” That same ⁤day, Homeland Security secretary Alejandro Mayorkas appeared on NBC to⁢ declare, unconvincingly, that Biden is “incredibly ⁢sharp” and “incredibly probing.”
