VIDEO: Adele Stops Vegas Show to Scold Security for ‘Bothering’ Fan
Singer Adele paused a concert in Las Vegas on Saturday night to reprimand security guards for “bothering” one of the spectators.
Several concertgoers posted videos of the interaction between the performer and the security team on the ground. The 35-year-old Grammy award-winner stopped singing in the middle of her song “Water Under the Bridge” to question security on their actions, per The Hollywood Reporter.
“What is going on there with that young fan who’s been bothered so much, since I came on, for standing up? What’s going on with him?” she can be heard asking security.
Adele was performing as part of her “Weekends With Adele” residency at Caesars Palace.

The singer kept addressing the security guard until he figured out who she was talking to. “Yes, you, with your hand up, yes you! Put your hand up. You, no you, yes, you with the stick in your hand. Yes, him.”
Once Adele had his attention, she continued: “What are you doing? Why are you all bothering him? Can you leave him alone, please?”
She said to the fan, “They won’t bother you anymore, darling. You enjoy the show.”
“Leave him alone,” she told the security member again.
Next, Adele addressed the audience, saying, “Sorry, guys. He’s been bothered the whole show by security and other people sitting behind him. He’s here to have fun. All of you are here to have fun.”
Adele instructed the band to “start again,” and she launched into the beginning of “Water Under The Bridge” for a second time.
A similar incident happened at one of Taylor Swift’s recent concerts. The “Shake It Off” singer was in the middle of a show at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field when security began forcibly removing fans who were climbing on barricades during the show.
Swift thought the security team was too strict with her fans and stopped her show to call them off. “She’s fine. She wasn’t doing anything. Hey, stop! Stop!” she yelled at security.
One attendee claimed on social media that security was aggressive and “putting their hands on us to physically push us off the barricade instead of just telling us to move.”
