Warriors Fans Think Pelosi’s A ‘Full On Jinx’ After Team Loses In NBA Finals

Golden State Warriors fans are starting to think Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is a “full on jinx” after the team fell to the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Fans took to Twitter Thursday to note that the team lost the game 120-108 in San Francisco despite taking a 12-point lead into the fourth quarter, after Pelosi shared a photo of herself on Twitter wearing a black Warriors hoodie and a yellow leather military jacket, SF Gate reported.

The post that appeared on Pelosi’s political account read, “Let’s go, Warriors! Champions on and off the court. #Dubnation.”

The outlet noted that the yellow jacket happed to be the same one Pelosi sported on June 13, 2019, which was also the day the Warriors lost Game 6 to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals.

And apparently the similarity wasn’t missed by fans, who started tweeting that the Speaker of the House was a “full on jinx” and more.

The latter is a reference to the Toronto rapper, who was considered a bad luck charm for athletes and teams after his presence seemingly lead to a variety of losses to everyone from the Alabama Crimson Tide to the Philadelphia 76ers, Kentucky Wildcats, Conor McGregor, and more.

SF Gate noted that Pelosi’s post and the team’s subsequent loss reminded them of when Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) took to social media and shared a court-side selfie of himself wearing a Rockets t-shirt before Game 7 of the 2018 Western Conference Finals against the Warriors.

He captioned his post, “Minutes before tipoff…HoustonRockets ClutchCity GO ROCKETS!!!!”

The Houston Rockets ended up falling to the Warriors 101-92.

The Warriors will play the Celtics for Game 2 of the Finals on Sunday.

SF Gate also noted that Pelosi first showed her support on social media to the Warriors in 2015, the year the Warriors won their first title in 40 years. She also participated in the team’s victory parade that year.
