Walz is the ‘confederacy’ in what he calls ‘civil war’ in Minnesota: Tiana Lowe Doescher
Washington Examiner economics columnist Tiana Lowe Doescher criticized Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) for invoking the idea that the events in Minnesota are a “civil war,” arguing he is trying to “violate” federal law.
“News flash Tim Walz in this case you are the confederacy because you are the one that is trying to violate federal law,” she said on Fox News at Night Thursday evening.
In an interview with MS Now Wednesday, Walz said President Donald Trump called him about the protest against immigration enforcement in Minnesota, because Trump’s “poll numbers” were dropping.
Doescher said Trump understands what the people want from the federal government.
“Anything Trump gives Tim Walz at this point is a concession because President Trump likes looking at the polls,” she said. “He understands Americans don’t necessarily have a huge appetite for these brawls in the streets.”

Doescher argued the debate about immigration isn’t about changing federal immigration law.
“President Trump already tried that in his first term doing DACA for the wall,” she said. “This is just about, does ICE get to do it the way they do in red states? Which is to go to the jails and get the criminal illegals, or because of sanctuary policies, are they forced to do these raids?”
“Anything Donald Trump gives Tim Walz is a concession, not a right,” she said.
