Walz And Frey Should Be Arrested For Inciting 2020 2.0

The woman fatally shot while allegedly attempting to ram her vehicle into Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Minneapolis on Wednesday found out what “FAFO” means.

Marxist Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey should also face consequences in the form of swift prosecution and arrest for inciting violence against the federal law enforcement agents he just told to “get the f– out” of the city he appears prepared to turn into 2020 2.0. Same with disgraced Democrat Gov. Tim Walz.

‘An Act of Domestic Terrorism’

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed a “violent rioter” was shot after she “weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them” while the agency was conducting a targeted enforcement effort. The suspect was killed in the incident.

DHS is calling the woman’s actions “an act of domestic terrorism.”

“An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots,” the agency said in a press release. The unnamed officer “used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.”

ICE officers were reportedly hurt but are expected to make full recoveries.

As my Federalist colleague Brianna Lyman reported, “video footage of the incident posted on X appears to show officers instructing the woman to exit her vehicle. The woman accelerates and appears to nearly hit an agent who was positioned in front of her vehicle.”

FAFO

Frey called DHS’ self-defense claim “garbage.”

“I do have a message for our community, for our city, and I have a message for ICE. To ICE, get the f– out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here,” the radical mayor with higher political aspirations said during a hastily called press conference. “Your stated reason for being in this city is to create some kind of safety, and you are doing exactly the opposite.”

Frey and fellow leftist, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, have long vilified ICE agents for enforcing immigration laws. Last year, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara essentially urged residents to call 911 on “masked” ICE agents who “may be kidnapping people.”

“The community should know that if you see something like that that is legitimate, you don’t know if someone is law enforcement, you should call 911, and you should provide as much information as possible,” O’Hara added.

As my Federalist colleague Jordan Boyd reported, the call to action came after Frey accused ICE of “’targeting Somali people’ based on looks and express[ing] belief that American citizens would be arrested in the process.”

Frey’s and the police chief’s comments sound an awful lot like obstruction of justice, at least aiding and abetting obstruction. They should be advised about what recently happened in Minnesota’s neighbor state to the east. Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan last month was convicted for obstructing ICE agents “attempting to arrest an illegal immigrant,” and faces up to five years in prison. A federal jury sent a message to Dugan and other activist judges like her who break the law: FAFO.

Frey and his leftist allies should face the same consequences. They are egging on violent leftists to do very violent things.

‘Continue to Demonize’

Assaults on ICE agents have exploded over the past year. In November, DHS reported that “sanctuary politicians’ rhetoric” fueled a 1,150 percent “increase in violence against ICE law enforcement.” In light of last month’s Operation Metro Surge, an ICE enforcement effort targeting “the worst of the worst who flock to Minnesota because they know sanctuary politicians will protect them,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said the liberal politicians were only making things tougher for law enforcement officials.

“Instead of thanking our law enforcement for removing criminals from their communities, Tim Walz and Jacob Frey continue to demonize our brave law enforcement,” McLaughlin said in a press release.

And here we are on Wednesday, Jan. 7, with more “violent rioters” in Minneapolis threatening federal law enforcement agents.

Back to the Violent Future

Walz on Wednesday jumped on social media to attack DHS, urging the public not to “believe this propaganda machine.”

“The state will ensure there is a full, fair, and expeditious investigation to ensure accountability and justice,” he wrote on X.

I’ve seen the video.

Don’t believe this propaganda machine.

Like the state’s full, fair and expeditious investigation into the Somali welfare fraud scandal?

At a press conference the same day, Walz signaled a willingness to further obstruct ICE operations in light of the day’s events. As the National News Desk reported, he “issued a warning order to prepare the Minnesota National Guard, adding that soldiers are in training and will be ready to deploy if necessary.”

The public can expect nothing but cover-up and more lawlessness in a state led by far-left politicians who incited actual insurrections against the government during the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020. Don’t forget Walz’s wife, Gwen, who said she kept the windows of the governor’s mansion “open for as long as I could” to smell the burning tires from the riots following George Floyd’s death.

“I kept the windows open as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening,” she told KTSP in July of that incendiary year. It sounded like a riot-endorsing line co-opted from Apocalypse Now.

The Republican-controlled Minnesota Senate’s Joint Transportation and Judiciary and Public Safety Committee accused the liberal governor “of delaying the deployment of the National Guard, failing to coordinate with local police, downplaying the possibility of riots and allowing his adult daughter to access confidential information about law enforcement movements that put first responders at risk during the four days of rioting that swept through the Twin Cities in the wake of George Floyd’s May 25, 2020, death in police custody,” according to the New York Post.

Things have predictably grown more riotous in the liberal Minnesota city. Will Walz again put his political hatred for ICE and President Donald Trump above public safety and law and order? Seems so, early on.

Frey, too, was roundly criticized for incendiary comments villainizing police officers and allowing BLM rioters to smash up and burn down portions of his city in 2020. Frey, a first-term mayor at the time, surrendered Minneapolis’ 3rd Precinct station to actual insurrectionists. Even Walz criticized the “abject failure” of the city’s response. The criticism, of course, was short-lived.

“By early Saturday morning, it was Walz who found himself struggling with the enormity of the challenge, conceding that he didn’t have enough people to cope with the protests and moving to mobilize another 1,000 Guard members,” MPR News reported in late May 2020. “Walz also took pains to praise Frey, who appeared alongside him after another night of unrest.”

Nearly six years later, these obstructors of justice and inciters of violence are adding tinder to the fires — just in time for an election year. In Minnesota and beyond. Any of their calls for “peaceful” protest ring hollow after 2020 and months of smearing ICE agents.

Dismantling ICE is the moderate position.

Unmask these thugs, arrest them, and make them answer for these horrors.

They need to be held accountable for their actions, for their crimes.
